He's spot on. Even if they did land pryor, what if his progression doesn't hit warp drive before fall... or if he gets hurt?

Then you're looking at RB Carlos Brown under center. Or hoping Bass' very iffy rehab takes a turn for the better.

On B10 network they were interviewing some reporter from the Det news and he feels that neither arrington or manningham will be there next year as they feel that RR's brand of football doesn't make use of WR's
Said reporter also reiterated that ryan mallet wont be there which backs up the UCLA reports.

This could be an absolute disaster. One would think DickRod would need at least one QB to run his unstoppable offensive system. I'm enjoying this thoroughly.:paranoid:

Wonder how scUM fans are taking this news...
They need to try and get someone to transfer in. When Ohio State gets Terrelle Pryor, they will be screwed.

One guy I'd try to get: Cameron Newton, QB, Florida. True Freshman who ran for 3 TDs last year. Tebow is apparently staying through his Senior year, leaving Newton with one year of eligibility to play (Unless he gets a redshirt sometime soon).

Can't "recruit" players already on scholorship at another school.

If Tebow stays four years, I'll be waiting for cheese-hardened monkeys to fly outta my butt...

Newton's going to get a lot of PT next year because Florida is using a dual-QB system.

It doesn't add up that two QBs would bail at the precise time that the door to unlimited PT opened in front of them.

Other than that, it does look ugly for UM.

With no signed contract and a 4 million dollar buy out unresloved could the door still be open for Les Miles? :)

Are there any potential recruits or back-up plans in place in case Pryor doesn't go there? You'd think high school QB's who are used to running the spread would be lining up. If Pryor doesn't end up at UM I'd have to think Rodriguez lands someone who can run the system better than some subsistute on Michigans bench.

Not any that are getting run on UM boards...

Marquise Gray would be a natural secondary option, imo. Maybe they can get Greg Paulus to transfer? :p

Well Cone & Threet didn't come to UM to run the spread option. RRod will bring in someone this year (how good is debatable), will they still have unlimited PT if he lands a dual-threat guy? There's a lot of doubt about how much RRod wants Mallett here, that would plant seeds of doubt in my mind if I'm Cone/Threet.

Well they tried to overhaul their program with this hire... so hiring LLes would get back to their roots once he's 0-2. :p

I'd think Marqueis Gray would be a guy DRod would be targeting. Mobile with a good arm. I understand Pryor's interest, it just surprises me there are no other reports coming out about guys who want to play in his sytem as a QB. I think there are recruits waiting to see what happens with Pryor before they make their interest known publicaly. If Pryor goes to UM he's the starter for at least 3 years no matter what.

If he doesn't go (and I don't think he does), I believe they land a solid duel threat QB in the last week of recruiting.
