Can LV plead temporary insanity? No Buckeye in their sain mind would make that bet.

i made the claim a month beforehand, who knew that Minny would be in the midst of a seven game losing streak? when we got them, they were coming off Purdue which was at least a respectable loss. had i known they would go on to get shellacked by the likes of Indiana, Northwestern and North Dakota State in the next three games, i obviously wouldn't have made the bet...

but whatever... i'm a good sport.

That's a pretty cool avatar man. Did you know the Irish are returning to glory under that man?

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Michigan linebacker Shawn Crable roamed to his right and seemed to have Michigan State's Javon Ringer wrapped up near the sideline.

Ringer got loose, ran across the field and was headed for a touchdown.

Crable, incredibly, sprinted with a perfect pursuit angle toward the end zone and prevented Ringer from scoring on the 72-yard run.

It was a symbolic play for the 13th-ranked Wolverines' never-give-up turnaround.

"That ranks with the best plays I've ever seen on a football field," Michigan coach Lloyd Carr said Monday, two days after the Wolverines rallied to beat the Spartans 28-24.
Let's hope Carr keeps that standard for excellence on 11/17 :p
"Wisconsin is going to come out fighting," [Defensive End Tim Jamison] said. "They lost a game last week they shouldn't have lost."
Looks like Hart's leadership is rubbing off. Humorous talk on the heels of an escape at MSU, and UM sweating out all but 2 games this year.

I guess reality awareness isn't a requirement at Michigan. Gee, Tim, just how was that game one that Wisconsin "shouldn't have lost"? Oh, I see...once the visiting team takes a 7-point lead in the 3rd quarter, the game should be over. Riiight.

Has there been an update on the status of Hart and Henne for this week's game against Wisconsin? I hope they get banged up a bit!
No one is more tight lipped about injuries than UM...

that said, I would expect to see Henne. Hart has said he will play, but his body is suggesting otherwise. He is a game-time decision.

What will be very interesting is if Hart sits out, and the backup RBs start putting the ball on the turf. Unlike some opponents, UM should not have to score that much to keep pace with wisky, making Hart's role even that more important.

Wow. I hope that is a partial quote, taken out of context, for Jamison's sake. Otherwise, I don't know that he should be eligible to be enrolled in higher education.

There is absolutely nothing at stake for TSUN tommorrow (except pride). regardless of the outcome, if they beat us they go to a BCS game, with no chance of BCS championship. Even if they lose both they will finish 2nd in bigten and go to capital one bowl.

I think they rest Hart, unless he is at or near 100%

OTOH if they rest up and essentially are ok with losing to UW and then they lose The Game they may have just punched their ticket to Tampa instead of Orlando(BFD I know but its something to consider)

If Cap 1 gets a choice between a 2 loss PSU and a 2 loss UM who is coming off back to back losses(another one to OSU) they just might think PSU will travel better and take them over tsun.

The part about the Bowl taking PSU over tsun is more accurate than the part about tsun giving a shit if they go to Cap one or Outback or whatever the fuck they are called now.

Maybe I'm a bit rusty on Big Ten Championship rules, but why does everyone keep saying Michigan has nothing to play for? Doesn't an outright Big Ten title still hang in the balance? If they win against Wisky and OSU they are outright Champs. A loss to Wisky and a win over OSU and they are Co-Champs (assuming OSU beats Illinois). The same holds true for OSU. A win against Illinois and Michigan and we're outright B10 Champs. A loss to Illinois and a win over Michigan and we're Co-Champs (assuming they beat Wisconsin). No?

We'd be co-champs but the "tie-breaker" goes to Michigan (winner, head-to-head) if we're both 7-1 in conference and they had beat us. We'd both be officially recognized as conference champs but Michigan would get the "bennies" of winning the tie-breaker (going to the higher bowl game).

Regardless, I'd love to Michigan lose at Wisconsin and then to us, so they have bookend 2-game losing streaks for their season.
