You're seriously going to try and convince me that Michigan doesn't regularly produce beastly OL? Honestly????????

Your right. Look how well that deep pool of OL talent has so easily plugged the gap at RG.

No worries for you guys...2008 NC or bust.

Oh yes, because every team loses 2 RG in the same game. I forgot that always happens. Man, the refusal to admit Michigan ever does anything well, even by Buckeyes standards, is truly mind-boggling. I really don't recall insinuating it was NC or bust in 08 or that we even had a chance at it, so I'm really not sure what the fuck that was about?

his career average of 3.8 ypc illustrates that nicely.

Since you know Grady so well, you do know he usually comes in on 3rd and 1 type deals?

so did chris wells last year, yet he still managed 5.5 ypc. try again.

provided he stays healthy for the rest of the year, he's on pace to eclipse what grady has done in 2 seasons in all of 9 games.

I wasn't aware Saine was stuck behind a four year starter who gets way more carries than he needs. I could be mistaken.

if grady had half the talent you profess, mike hart wouldn't have gotten run into the ground the last two years.

because he's a high school senior, that has been hobbled all year, and underperforming as a result.

Yes, because one injury is so awful. It's not like when he's healthy he puts up obscene numbers against great competition.

yes, he also hurdles 7 foot men from while juggling flaming bowling pins. it still doesn't change the fact that he's an undersized senior in high school that you are counting on to counter the loss of the most productive back ttun has ever had.

You have an unlimited supply of beastly OL, I just figured one could be plugged in no matter what.

Just like a new RB will be plugged in to replace Hart and tsun won't skip a beat.

Just like a new LT will replace Long and you won't miss a beat.

Just like the '07 defense would replace '06 and not miss a beat.

Just like I'm sure the WR corp in '08 won't miss a beat without MM, after all Henne didn't miss Braylon Edwards did he?

What the fuck its all about exactly is the mind numbing arrogance coming from you guys. You lose to a 1-AA school, get shredded by a decent Pac 10 team, get all you can handle from Northwestern but pound on the hapless ass Domers and now its back to "We're tsun, we just reload" mentality.

Not unexpected but fucking hard to believe none the less.

Brandon Saine is a true freshman and you guys are shitting yourselves over this guy, why can't Michigan be excited about Sam McGuffie?

Uh, maybe because McGuffie hasn't even graduated high school yet, while Saine has already demonstrated exceptional speed and agility at the D-I level?

By exactly what standard???? If Saine keeps up this pace, after playing in 9 games he'll have 459 rushing yards, which doesn't even add up to Grady's 483 in his freshman year, let alone the 670 in his two seasons. Nor will Saine remotely begin to approach Grady's 121 receiving yards, because Saine has 8. Saine would get 6 touchdowns at this pace, which would pass Grady's 5 in his freshman year. But that's not what you said, and Grady has 8 on his career.

And I fail to see how "provided he stays healthy" is a legitimate qualifier to Saine's accomplishments but in the same comment, health is the one reason we shouldn't be excited about McGuffie.

Really, I highly recommend Phonics for improving your reading skills, because I'm pretty sure I didn't say we had an unlimited supply.

I said it won't skip a beat?

Just like a new LT will replace Long and you won't miss a beat. Really? I said that?

Just like the '07 defense would replace '06 and not miss a beat. I said they wouldn't miss a beat? You sure about that?

We don't always reload. We will struggle at times (this year) but I like to think Michigan has done a fairly consistent job of staying among CFB's elite. Mind numbing arrogance? Because I said we consistently produce top OL? Get your facts straight slugger before you make statements that aren't accurate.

Not unexpected but fucking hard to believe none the less.

Left some comments.

Be excited about McGuffie... But, to make the argument that Michigan doesn't "miss a beat" is absurd. You don't lose a 4 year starter and get better (unless that guy is Reggie Ball)
Don't know where either Sniper or I said Michigan wouldn't "miss a beat". I said we'd still have a running game that would be "just fine"....which I even qualified by saying it would not be just as good as this year's.

Nobody's saying the UM offense won't miss a beat. Both Sniper and I are saying that with next year's crop of tailbacks, and with Michigan's propensity to field a quality offensive line, there will be a decent running game. I think there are some around here who'd rather not believe it.

What, after three whole games? Actually, it didn't even take that long:

Seeing as he has run for a 5.5 ypc average and and has scored 3 TDs as a true freshman in those 3 games, I'd say we have a vaild reason for our excitement.

Read my above reply to HailToMichigan. Looks like we were right, doesn't it?

actually, i worded that poorly upon further review. it should have read, provided saine could have stayed healthy, he could have eclipsed grady over the remaining 9 games.

as for mcguffie, had you bothered to read the 2nd post on the matter, i clearly said he is an undersized high school senior that hasn't played snap 1 in college.

Michigan will be fine at all positions...if Manningham leaves, McGuffie will need to step up as the potential gamebreaker. Otherwise, Matthews and Hemingway are not going to put a scare into many defenses.

Michigan needs more of an attitude adjustment than a talent adjustment.

That is coming soon.
