Bellisari still served a 2-1/2 game suspension for the DUI, including missing his senior day game and his last Michigan game. It's not like a half-game suspension was his only punishment.

After reading through the post it is really hard to tell if there is anything to the rumor especially with all the fighting on GBW. If Mallet did transfer it would be a huge blow to the Wolverweenies because if Henne goes down they have basically nothing. If Mallet did transfer does anyone think it would have much of an effect on the recruitment of Pryor, the QB from Pennsylvania?

A - they would have to find a way to convince Pryor to put them at the top of an already long queue of suitors.
B - they would have to try and convince Pryor that they would be willing to totally retool an historically more pro-style offense, leaning on the run to set up play action, to suit his unique individual talents.

The first is an uphill battle in and of itself. The second defies many years of game film evidence (and their recruitment of "Stands Like a Statue" Mallett).

Both good points and great post. Thanks for the info. Maybe Meatchicken could overcome both those obstacles by simply telling Pryor what Petey tells every recruit, "your my number one guy!" :lol:

There seems to be a lot more smoke to this rumor than UM fans wanted to admit... :yow1:

Synopsis: Mallett's early enrollment has been rough on him (cold winter, classwork, adjusting to D1/UM), leading to rumblings about an Arkansas transfer. In HS, he ruled out Arky due to 5-star Mustain arriving 1 yr before. Now Mustain is a Trojan (transfer).

Lots of arkansas fans & media outlets had promoted the rumor, and UM fans had dismissed it.

Texarkana Radio Reports Mallett to Return to Michigan (GBW Free Board)
At 5pm it was reported Mallett will more than likely return to Michigan. While Wolverine fans have been sweeping this "Rumor" under the carpet, by all indications it was real. While Texarkana is Razorback country, most of his hometown folks (myself included) have felt he should return to Michigan.

This has been a fluid situation, so it my change on Thursday.

Ryan Mallett's parents say he will return to UM, and was merely a little homesick in the past.

Looks like Mallett will be staying put, but they seem to be downplaying what was a pretty legitimate concern for Ryan & UM fans alike.

Two University of Michigan football players reportedly were in a car that allegedly contained drugs when it was stopped by police in Monroe County.

No one was arrested and the Michigan State Police are waiting for lab results before any charges are filed.

The state police would verify only that a traffic stop was made in Summerfield Township last week and that alleged controlled substances were found.
