I think after the rose bowl. I'm not sure if Adams went to talk to Arrington and co about knocking it off, or if he just went and told Carr. Either way he did the right thing.

yeh, you hate to see a snitch, but they would have been jeapordising the whole teams chances. That wouldn't be fair to anyone.

Super Mario, The reason that they were all in trouble in the first place was because they were smoking weed and drinking before the rose bowl and our SS Jamar Adams supposdley went and told Carr.

If I was a Michigan fan, I wouldn't know what to be more worried about, that several players were smoking weed before the Rose Bowl or that most of the players were not smoking weed and still performed the way they did.

I don't think we'll suck for much longer.

super_mario, I'm real sorry to have to tell you this; but Michigan always has and always will SUCK. That's just the way it is. Well on second thought that's not the total truth; I'm really not sorry (to tell you this).

Sorry SM, but in our eyes, even when they win, they suck.

Take three steps back from that keyboard, inhale deeply, and come toward the light. Reject the dark side SM. He was Luke's father, not yours...

Edit: OK, I lied too. I wasn't really sorry, either.

Any word out of Ann Arbor regarding Arrington and spring training?

I want a Michigan team strong enough to kick Notre Dame's ass in September and good enough to boost us into a better bowl bid in November.

You mean like last year's Michigan team?

Actually, last year's Michigan team was perfect! Whooped on the Domers, and good enough to create a huge buzz in THE GAME OF THE CENTURY. However, they still came out on the LLLLLyod end of things with two straight losses to end another football season. End result is Carr earned himself a few more years (which is good for us, obviously) but still didn't do anything of any substance when it counted.

Exactly, only I don't care if they get whupped by Wiscy along the way either.

IMO Arrington will be back barring he doesn't do any more damage to himself. That kid just needs to shut his mouth, keep to himself and focus on two things: academics and football.

I think Michigan's offense will be much better in 2007 provided Mike DeBord gives up some of the control to Scot Loeffler and if they in turn allow Henne to have more freedom. Too many times the kids at Michigan play like robots who are deathly afraid of making mistakes. I think this goes back to their head coach though as the character of a football team tends to feed off of that of their head coach.

I've heard alot of good things about a trio in the defensive backfield thus far. Johnny Sears is playing with more confidence than ever at corner, Stevie Brown has made some excellent plays in pass coverage at free safety, and Carlos Brown (who switched over from RB) has been a surprise. If Brown continues what he's been doing in the spring into the fall then there is a chance he could be the nickelback. Defensive line-play has been pretty good, not great, but good. However, that should be expected as Terrance Taylor, Tim Jamison, and Jim McKinney are being limited because of injury and Marques Slocum isn't joining the team until fall. Brandon Graham has been an absolute terror at DE/DT, but at times he has been inconsistent, and he hasn't gotten to go up against Jake Long as Long is being held out of the scrimmages, but Graham has made mince-meat out of pretty much every other lineman. Graham is going to lock up a starting spot along side Terrance Taylor and Tim Jamison on the defensive line. My guess on the fourth starter is as good as anyone elses. Will Johnson and Adam Patterson have both looked impressive thus far into spring, but Marques Slocum and Jim McKinney are both immensely talented kids who are both highly regarded talents. In Slocum's case he was rated as a 5* by all of the services, and McKinney was on the cusp of 5-stardom. Slocum has gotten his academics in order and will be good to go in the fall and McKinney is still nursing some nagging injuries but should be ready to play in the fall. As usual the fall is when any open starting jobs will be won.
