Per MGoBlog, QB Jason Forcier is transferring to Stanford. I know Mallett is the long term answer, but he may not be ready for the #2 spot at the outset of the season. I haven't heard anything on the progress of Cone, so an early mishap to Henne could be problematic.

Mike Milano, redshirt freshman 157 pounder, was not their starter this year. From Rocky River Ohio. Finished 3rd twice in Ohio High School Wrestling Tourney. This note from his bio on the tsun athletic site: "Set Rocky River's single-season rushing record (1,700 yards) as a junior (2003) ... Finished career as RRHS's all-time scoring leader and rushing leader."

Actually, the article does say his name is Mike Milano (in the first sentence under the "Who's that guy?" heading).

I know, i was was initially quoting a different article that I couldn't find online...and then later found this one from the detroit news...note the edit.

I don't see where anything has changed with Arrington. He was suspended for the spring, and has to earn his way back. The other three have been kicked off the team. If AA were gone, Carr would have said as much.

Butler was not gone for good when Carr described the trio's situation as 'possible, but not probable' (stemming from an alleged pot incident)... it was the recent fight that ended his career at UM.

It's not in the article, colin cowherd said that Lloyd stated it was unlikely Arrington would return for next season.

A few weeks back, Carr issued that the 'possible, maybe not probable' statement about Butler, Germany & Arrington returning to the team. There was still hope for all three.

A few days after that presser (edit), Butler & Germany committed assault (allegedly)... and thus had no more chances left at UM.

Arrington still has that window available, unless Carr announces otherwise.

Seems Hart is out of Spring Practice, and, for undisclosed reasons Arrington is also missing action.
Hart misses Spring because of a medical procedure - I'm guessing a brain transplant.

Yahoo
Arrington, tight end Carson Butler and defensive end Eugene Germany will not be with the team during spring drills, which begin Saturday and end April 14.
"They're not practicing, and they're not injured," Carr said.
Will the trio be back on the team in August, if Carr's requirements are met?
"That is possible," he said. "Maybe not probable."
Mmm, inteeresting ...

Beilein is the new basketball coach. Not estatic about this hire, but if he gets us to the tournament I don't care. The big ten now has the best coaches in the country.

Arrington isn't off the team....yet. Carr hasn't made up his mind one way or the other publicly. Germany was caught with pot, but was not kicked off the team. Germany requested to be transferred and was granted his release.

Butler and Richards were piss drunk and assulted some random dude that Richards thought was "that kid talking crap in class" and thus they beat the snot out of him. Turns out after they were sobered up Richards sought the kid out and told him it was all just a big misunderstanding and that he was the wrong person, that it was just a case of mistaken identity and that he'd appreciate it if the kid didn't get the police invovled.

True story, not making any of it up.

Carr did the right thing to boot Butler and Richards off the team. That type of behavior is completely unacceptable. Germany transferred so technically he didn't get kicked off the team. Arrington is probably still going to be on the team if he keeps his head on straight.

tOSU may have just lost the championship game, but it is always refreshing to know that...

I don't think we'll suck for much longer.

Beilein can coach circles around Amaker. The guy is an X's and O's guru. There have been some questions about his ability to recruit, but he's going to be in the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country. Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois produce tons of basketball talent year in and year out. In terms of basketball talent the midwest is like the southeast in football talent.

Super Mario, The reason that they were all in trouble in the first place was because they were smoking weed and drinking before the rose bowl and our SS Jamar Adams supposdley went and told Carr.
When did he tell Carr?

I think Butler would have committed his last strike had he committed any offense... but you're right it was good to kick richards off.

Arrington sure has been given a ton of second chances thus far.
