JAX...how exactly are we a fraud???

And the past two weeks, our defense has been very good....we have played Maryland (not great, but a decent team) and ECU (not good, but isnt FIU)....Our defense has stepped up the past two weeks like we should have....

I'm lost though as to how we are such a fraud....We havent played great teams yet, but not many people have.....We have a big test Friday, beating USF would be a great win for us....

Still confused?

First opponent with a pulse and your top 5 team and dual Heisman contenders gets knocked on the seat of their collective ass.

Three teams currently above us are guaranted to lse a game this year because they play someone else currently above us: USC at Cal, Florida at LSU, and Texas vs. Oklahoma. If we keep winning we're guaranteed to crack the top 5.

#1 I think there is a very good chance we say bye bye to WVU this Friday night @ USF.

Well, as Jax called it, one of the teams above us lost, and that team (WVU) is the only one of the seven ahead of us who won't play a game against another team in the current top 7. So, we win out and we're guaranteed to be in the top four by the end of the regular season.

I can't wait until WVU gets exposed. I think we beat Texas 9 out of 10 on a neutral field. USC, FLA and LSU are scary good. If I were voting and trying not to be too much of a homer I would say we are a solid 7 so its really not too far off right now. The good thing is that looking forward it appears that if we keep winning everything else will sort itself out. Oklahoma is worrisome though.

It happened sooner than I thought. My big east co-workers hate me right now b/c they think I caused this. I've been saying all summer that the big east can't hang because they can't play defense. I've got to admit USF played some very good D. The Rutgers game will be interesting.

Thats right dont sleep on the Bearcats. The defense in Cincy is very very good. The offense is sporadic, but thats what we need. We'll get everyone in the Big East beating each other so none of them should be undefeated at the end of the season. I'd say Rutgers beats USF in a very low scoring game and then somehow Louisville outscores Rutgers to tie for the conference title. The Big East would have multiple 1 loss teams and yes leaving us with an opportunity to be in the top 3 or 4 by winning out. Lets see what happens to USC and Florida as well. We very well could be undefeated if we continue to improve, along with Oklahoma and LSU at the end.

The other two teams ahead of us both play very loseable games today.

Cal is @ Oregon
Texas is playing period.(KSU is not good but UT is just waiting to get beat)

Doubt we get these to both go our way but one more on top of WVU's loss would be nice.

You may be right. Either way I like our position going forward. If we take care of business we probably get in the big game for the second straight year.

Yep. We're guaranteed to move up another spot with the USC-Cal game looming and same with Florida-LSU. Just keep winning and we'll be golden.
