Man what a difference a week makes.

Louisville's dream of a BCS championship berth went to sleep with the fishes in Jersey. From the penthouse to the (relative) outhouse in one week? Who wants to be number 3? Rutgers? (Not likely)

Texas' dream of getting over Louisville following the Thursday night second half demise by the Cardinals bit the dust against Kansas State - McCoy was named MVP by proxy for the Longhorns.

Any pretensions Auburn had of vaulting themselves back into contention were roundly dismissed by a Georgia team that, to this point in Conference play, had embraced hapless as a team spirit song.

The Cal squad stubbed its toe big-time against a Stoops defense in the desert. How far will they fall?

Florida won, but needed a last minute FG to turn back the return of the prodigal coach. Will they be ranked higher than ..

USC - which like the top two teams in the polls did take care of business.

I'd say your top ten might look like this

1 - Ohio State
2 - Michigan
3 - USC - close or tie with
3 - Florida
4 - Notre Dame
5 - Arkansas
6 - Rutgers (yes, W. Virginia this high after all the shake-ups)
7 - West Virginia
8 - Wisconsin - (really can't we give the Badgers a little more love?)
9 - Wake Forest (fairs fair, if x-1 gets Wisnconsin the top ten then they should be ranked higher)
10 - Boise State (still x-0 - dodged a bullet)

the computers already had Michigan 1st and us 2nd...so the Texas loss doesn't hurt us there. I really think that the loser of this game might stay 2nd in the computers.

Doubtful. Ohio State is already 3rd in half the computers. Michigan has the better chance, but I still think the loser falls behind Rutgers and USC (if both win out).

Looking more and more like the winner of USC-ND plays the winner of tOSU-Michigan.

that means us and USC, I'd guess.

in all honesty, that's a great match up for us. I dno't want to beat a Rutgers or Boise State or Louisville -- people won't consider the championship "real" no matter what those teams did. that is probably unfair to those teams but that's reality.

a win over USC, ND or FL "counts."

and we're going to get it.
