2005 Winter Conditioning (official thread)

Any other pictures of stats? (Deadlift, Clean, etc...)

Are there any other boards of stats at the WHAC? (Deadlift, Clean, etc...)

Also, I'm surprised that D'Andrea isnt up there at all. I've heard he's a monster in the weight room. I read an article about how he did a 400-pound hang clean 8 times, 425-pound power clean twice, and a 700-pound squat in high school.

Obviously we know about Schlegel deadlifting 661.2 lbs back in 2000...

I posted this on the other thread, but I got no responses.

Yeah, I read D'Andrea squatted 720 in High School. I saw him at the state track meet last year (along with Pitcock) and asked him about it. He was either modest or freaked out that I knew so much about him. Anyways, he said, "Yeah, something like that."

I also talked to D'Andrea in a video store earlier that year... that was my excuse for walking up and talking to him at the track meet. I asked if he remembered me. Of course he didn't. :!

Yes, there are more but I don't recall what exactly they are. I only took those that are the most common (bench, squat, 40). If you look at the three pictures on here, you can also see the top of the boards for the 10 yard dash, vertical jump and broad jump.

Big Speed - wow:
Frost, Pitcock, Richardson, Coleman are back this year. We have 4 out of our fastest 6 in history back for 2005.

So if Coleman is that fast why is he playing on the offensive line? I thought Tressel's philosophy was to put speed on defense.

I'm no coaching genius... but being good at the position might play into it a bit as well.

Coleman was recruited as a TE but he bulked up and moved to the O-line. Obviously he retained much of the speed that made him a TE prospect. And now he might possibly move back to TE, at almost 300 lbs!

Depth Chart Released

The pre-spring depth chart answers a lot of the burning questions going into this season and as predicted by myself and many others, Donte Whitner will get the first crack at replacing Dustin Fox. He'll be backed up by Shaun Lane and Brandon Underwood. At the other corner Youboty is backed up by SirJo Welch. At kicker Huston gets the start and will compete with Petorius. Trapasso punts and holds - excellent because he was also a fair running back in high school. Also, Hall staying at SE.
