2005 Winter Conditioning (official thread)

I guess the bone of contention here is how u define 'happy feet'. Troy Smith is a QB who can also run well..and you have the michigan game. 'HAPPY FEET' is to run without trying to read the defense and that's never good..at least that's what I believe buckskinfl meant..when he says happ feet is NEVER good. A mobile QB does not equate to 'hAPPY feet' qb. And I would say TS was a mobile QB and added another dimension to our offense against scUM and turned in a memorable performance..

I was sick to death of screaming at the TV "THROW THE DAMN BALL YOU IDIOT"
Are you referring to Smith or Bellisari? Please say Bellisari, otherwise you MUST be joking! How in the (insert swear word here) can you be complaining about Smith's scrambling abilities!?!?

And Zurp, if you're still lost, may be you should stop looking.

Maybe Troy Smith is being coached to take off after say, 5 seconds.
If a QB is still in the pocket after 5 seconds, he is either behind the greatest OL in history or the DL all dropped dead.

That is an eternity...any QB is sacked, rid of the ball, or scrambling by 5 seconds

Ive admitted several times he had a great game against michigan. My point is his happy feet killed alot of drives in the 3 games prior and I never yelled at the TV screen when we played michigan. Our defense bailed us out of that penn state game and pittman had a great game against indiana as well as ginn. Ginn owned michigan state as well and I will give credit to Smith for looking off the safety and hitting Ginn on the slant in the MSU game. Other then that I was EXTREMELY fustrated with him in the first three games he started.

Bellisari played behind one of the WORST Olines in Ohio State histroy other than bentley. Steve improved a great deal once tressel came and cris carter gave him a pep talk. If it weren't for him that bowl game would have been an absolute blowout. Smith was at times horrendous against inferrior opponents. Compare the teams zwick lost to, to the teams that smith beat. I give him full credit for the michigan game as that was truly amazing. But I am NOT about to hang my hopes on a QB after one game. If you think he is going to do that every game or even come close to that every game then I have to majorly disagree.

Dustin Fox has said some nice things about Ginn, Holmes and Gonzo recently, but what really got my attention was his saying Al Dukes could be better than Santonio Holmes! This just makes me wish for a good outcome for Dukes legal woes! It's like ordering a New York strip, then hearing how good the T-bone is!

Anyone out there have some updated ones since these are over a year old? Lotsa greenies if you do......
