I am not whining. The ESPiN formula works precisely because of the "tough guys don't whine" logic. So, if fans of teams not in Tier 1 ESPiN agreements want to change this script, then they need to act aggressively and they need to act now because weeks from now it will just be whining.

Since we live in a "post-truth, amoral world" in which appeals to facts and doing what is right fall on deaf ears, a response that hurts the Disney mothership is most likely to succeed.

Doubtlessly, this post will be deleted before anyone besides a mod reads it.
BuckeyeNation27, since you cannot be put on ignore, being protected by a shield of invincibility like the SESleaze officiating and replay crew, do me a favor.
Delete my account.
Your constant argumentative shtick is cloying and boorish. Viz., your having to have the absolute last and definitive word in this game day thread on Saturday night and having to be rescued by another mod's making that topic a separate one.
Your goal is to "win" the argument against your own site's customers, chiding them to death. If you have to do that, do so under a pseudonymic handle that can be put on ignore.

This is precisely why Targeting was implemented. Was this player tossed from the game? I think we all know he wasn’t, but the question should be why the fuck this play wasn’t reviewed like every damn thing they wanted to put the Buckeyes under the microscope for.

Honestly?

Because Dobbins didn’t flop on the ground like he had been sniped by a Marine.

The risk in doing that is you should probably held out of game for concussion symptoms like Lawrence should’ve been......still really haven’t seen much commentary around the fact that Tee Higgins and Lawrence both returned from clear concussion symptoms.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned in this thread or not, but looking back at the play where Dobbins got hurt, it looks like there were some TTUN-esque shenanigans going on under that pile. The Clemson player had a hold of JK's left ankle and was hanging on for dear life before everybody else piled on.
I wish it had only been TTUN-esque shenanigans on that play; if they had only untied his shoes he might have been more effective the rest of the game.

I think you make a valid point. I think that @BuckeyeNation27 has clearly made his opinion known on the targeting play and has done so very repetitively. I respectfully ask him, mod to mod but in the open, to please discontinue making comments on the topic. It's really doing nothing positive at this point, and can only cause problems.

And it's probably better for all of us to move on from discussing that particular targeting call. I'm not going to be around for a few hours, if another mod sees more problematic discussion and thinks this thread need to be closed for a while I'm fine with that.

Not even any of that is accurate...outside of me apparently not being able to be ignored, which I don't know if it's true or not.

Nobody is going to delete what you post..."staff" members on here aren't an oppressive government trying to quash any semblance of free thought. Nobody rescued me....LJB was certainly not on my side, and I'm pretty sure I was closer to being banned than your post. I have no website, and this site has no customers. Your victim complex in this post is painfully off target.

Respectfully to @BB73 , I'm not talking about the targeting call in this thread. I'm discussing it in the targeting thread, which I'll continue to do. My post in this thread is protecting a poster from being told to fuck off because he dared to not jump on the insane "the CFB world is out to get us" whine fest. I'm quite sure Clarity doesn't want his members to be told they have to go with the mob or else they have to leave. That's never been what this site is.

Yeah. Dude can fuck off if he doesn't like all the whining.
What a giant vagina......

Look, tOSU draws more eyes than Clemson. That's a fact. ESPN is a damn business that survives on eyes on TV....... even WITH the SEC connections.

If you think for a single second that a tOSU vs LSU game isn'ta MAJOR win for ESPN vs Clemson getting destroyed...... you're just not football knowledgeable.

We lost the damn game. It wasn't stolen. It wasn't well officiated, for sure, but it also wasn't tOSU at its best. The loss isn't on the stripes. It's on the offense not getting it done in the red zone. Fucking 3 points isn't 7...... and won't win playoff games.

Fuck the refs, for sure, but there's no "vast ESPN conspiracy" to have LESS eyeballs on the championship game than there would with tOSU there. If anything, a tOSU win this year would fuel a year of "Bama will beat their ass" furor which is great for ESPN.

Grow a pair and move on.....

Yeah this post definitely isn't surprising coming from you. Like I said, if you don't like the current conversation then fuck all the way off.

Someone said something about how we thought OSU would have hung 40 on Clemson....

First... I can't say I read every pre-game post, but I don't recall that being the standard.... But, with that said...

Ohio State scored 23 points.
If JK secures the diving catch, it's 27
If JK secures the screen catch and run, it's 31
If the replay booth doesn't insert itself and make the wrong call, it's 38
and..
If Olave didn't cut his route off, it's 45.

So.. if that was the pre game sentiment, there certainly were 40 or more points to be had in that game. OSU made those kinds of plays all year long, and there was certainly reason to think they would also make them in this game. Whatever the case, it wasn't Clemson stopping them. And hardly indicia of whatever point you were making.

It is interesting that two of those scoring plays - that is, plays that were ruled TDs on the field - were overturned by the booth.... and.. you know.. the field officials were SEC officials too, you know. And, in fairness to the booth, they got JK's drop correct. I don't know if @UrbanBuckeye 's comment about that play was addressed, but if it hasn't been: While it's true that a runner, for example, established in the field of play only needs to get the nose of the ball over the line, and anything after that is of no consequence, on that play the goal line isn't the issue. He needed to secure the catch, and he did not. It's true that the "ground caused the incompletion," if you will, but that's not a thing. In other words, if he had had a hand under the ball and it moved around as it did, never hitting the ground, it's still a catch. But, because the ball did hit the ground, the pass was incomplete.

Another one that was really bad in my book was the PI/Holding non-call on the Hill sideline drop. I'd love to see a still of that. The Clemson defender had a fistful of Hill's jersey and his other hand in the waist of his pants, right in front of a ref. yet no call. It was mentioned in this thread at the time, but nobody has mentioned it since. If I recall correctly. that play ended a promising drive.

( I remember it being Hill, might have been Olave though. )

For fucks sake can you picture Woody whining about the refs? Perhaps..... in the office.... cussing everything in sight like the bastard he was, but in public?

tOSU doesn't whine like Miami, ttun, or Clemson.

Fuck off, yourself. Woody never whined.
