'14 NY DT Thomas Holley (Penn State Decommit; Florida Verbal)

This kid really seems like the kind of player Urban is looking for at this point. Looks like he has a very good head on his shoulders from the interview and he just seems hungry to me. I think Urban goes after him hard.

This kid mentions, like most, that he is paying attention to the need for his position at a school, re: playing time. That bodes well for us. We need more interior D Lineman.

Of the big time schools he is looking at so far we are the closest to home. That never hurts.

I see a lot of things playing well in our favor here and I'm going to make the call: I think he ends up a Buckeye. I hope he does. He looks incredible to me. :oh:

I've gone back and forth on my the guy I want to get at DT, but Holley is my pick too. He has shown tremendous improvement and has just started tapping into his potential. He has the desire to get better and has a tremendous skillset...reminds me of Glen Dorsey (his game).

He's going to be a great pickup wherever he goes. It looks to be a close race right now. Earlier last month a lot of predictions were going for Notre Dame. Penn State boards think they lead /w OSU at #2 and Irish at #3. I'd be surprised that Penn State would be that high, but word is lately he wants to stay close and somebody said he has family there? Not sure if the Florida schools are still in it, but he's supposed to be trimming his list soon. I'd be glad if he winds up with the Bucks or the Irish, just not Penn State please.

Ntre Ame writers believe his decision will come down to the Domers and OSU, while the Ped Aggy writers have it between themselves and OSU. I see one constant...

Actually, Pete Sampson from II thinks he's Penn State if he's signing today. 247 was the site showing predictions for Irish, but it's still early and he's not committing soon, so those predictions mean zilch really.

PSU insiders think it's down to them and OSU, FWIW.

I would take Holley or Elam and be ECSTATIC.

I prefer Holley but Elam is the farthest thing from a consolation prize. I think there are two legit 5 stars in NY in Holley and Samuel...would be quite the coup to take them both.

Really, really impressive kid in interviews. Whoever gets him is going to get a big time talent with a great mindset and I suspect he will show big improvements once he learns all the little things that are so important to D Line play like hand placement, count moves, etc.
