I will laugh my butt off if he ends up at Auburn. For the record, I think he is OVERATED big time. But I have expected that school up north to nab him for a while now.

I'm curious to hear the back story on why we suddenly stopped recruiting him.

Numbers would be my guess, already have a class of 5 OL (pending position changes).

We stopped recruiting him well before numbers were an issue. Like months ago.

I believe the exact time was immediately after his official visit to Ohio State, for what it's worth.

I also agree on the overrated part, and said as much before Ohio State was out of the recruitment... so, you know, no sour grapes or anything.

I have to say, I am a bit underwhelmed after viewing the video.

The tools are obviously there, but it is going to take some serious college coaching with rapid results if he is going to make an impact next fall.

While I don't think he's necessarily a 5-star, he's still a tremendous high school player who we would have loved to see in the S&G. Something obviously happened on his trip to Columbus that made the coaches weary (calling all conspiracy theorists). Enough so that they stopped recruiting him ENTIRELY. To me, that's more than just a numbers game... maybe we'll hear the backstory, but probably not. Good luck to him wherever he decides to go (except, well, you know). May he have a prosperous college career.
