'12 IL OL Jordan Diamond (Auburn Signee)

Let's not split hairs here. Diamond is a guy who has shown a lot of promise, and any school will be lucky to get him. This is recruiting, so there's obviously the chance that anyone won't pan out, but that's true across the board. Just because a guy isn't a 100% Buckeye lean doesn't mean we have to start questioning just how good he'll really be.
Didn't have anything to do if he's a Buckeye our not. I've been following recruiting for a decade and have learned not to get too excited over any one recruit. That includes the guys we have committed.

I pay no attention to stars... example: Mike D'Andrea (5 stars) vs AJ Hawk. (3 stars) Nothing against Mike. He just could never seem to get a break injury wise. AJ did ok for himself. As others have stated, whoever gets Diamond will be happy.

I think the gap between rating and collegiate performance is mitigated somewhat by the YouTube phenomenon and the easy accessibility of recruit's highlights. Is it 100% accurate? No and it never will be. Is it easier to do and more accurate with a larger sampling of footage? I would image it is.

As for Diamond, I agree with others who made this point previously. No one had any problem with his ranking when he was high on OSU and it's absolutely insane to start attacking it now. If a recruit chooses Michigan, it does not mean he was suddenly overrated, sub-par, or unwanted by OSU throughout the process.

I'm sad more people weren't convinced he would be a Buckeye. This recruitment could have been the new Barksdale.
