Looks like Harbaugh to SF for 25 mil. It will come down to who replaces him at Stanford and how many of the defensive coaches stay if the Cardinal want to keep Vaughters imo.

For Student Athletes like this young man Stanford is not a very hard sell, you add in the recent football success it becomes an even better sell. Having said that, anything that helps OSU land this young man I am all for it :).

The coach who facilitated that recent success is no longer going to be there...

He said that he would most likely stick with Stanford even with the coaching change but that was before the news broke about him talking with the coaches.

So keep an eye out for this one but I wouldn't get your hopes up yet.

Interesting twist...Stanford was set to receive a verbal from a fairly highly regarded recruit today...and last I heard it was still going through (thanks StoicPaisano)...will be interesting to see how that affects James' thinking...

It is no secret that Stanford is a very desireable school because of the academic opportunities (regardless of who the football coach is); however, so is THE Ohio State University.

I think the kid probably realized in the back of his mind that Harbaugh probably wasn't going to be his coach his entire 4 years at Stanford. If he's determined to get that Stanford education, he'll stick with them.
