'11 GA LB James Vaughters (Stanford Signee)
But seriously awful people. I have yet to meet a Stanford person I like. They rank near the top of the dbag list with the dukies...
I went to Stanford:lol: Actually, methumps and my nephew both tried getting into Stanford But Were rejected and had to go to the cheater school:biggrin2: If you really look at Stanford, it is mostly about money when it comes to their admission criteria.

Sorry for the rant but props to James because that is a big achievement and very well deserved.

Agreed. Hopefully James has a better experience than another recent recruit I know, who showed up at school only to find Harbaugh insufferable and that his position coach didn't know his name. If not maybe we'll be able to find a spot for him later on:)

Congrats to Stanford. Vaughters is the kind of guy I'd love to have at OSU: gets accolades for his abilities on the field, yet never loses sight of the chance to get a top notch education at the same time. These are the players that are so easy to root for, no matter who they suit up with.

What if it's Michigan?

Interesting. They like Stanford, but if a solid chunk of that class goes to UM, that changes things.

Vaughters would be the face of the UM defense if Harbaugh heads there, possibly an instant starter and easily the most talented defender besides Martin (who may not stay)

Vaughters weighing options
Reports started to circulate on Sunday that Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh may not be around to coach the Cardinal next season. One of the Cardinal commits, linebacker James Vaughters (Tucker, Ga./Tucker), weighed in on the potential coaching change in Palo Alto.

"It's still Stanford and a great education and I am thinking about [this decision] a lot," Vaughters said. "I think I will stay but I will weigh my options one more time because I have to. I want to get a great education and play where the football is good. That's my expectations of college. I am still committed but I want to see happens to the Stanford coaching staff. If they stay I will. It not then I am not sure. I have lots of options and will weigh them all."

So what are Vaughters options, if not Stanford?

"Ohio State of course. And I may have to check out [Will] Muscamp at Florida," said Vaughters.

In the meantime, he is trying to get acclimated to playing with and against some of the country's top high school football players.

"I have run into some real 6-4 and 300-pound linemen. I have not seen speed like this," Vaughters said. "I am making adjustments and trying to use my strengths to my advantage. I just need to stay strong, keep my feet and play with leverage."
