Tucker linebacker <strong>James Vaughters</strong>, the most sought-after recruit in Atlanta, committed to Stanford on Thursday.

He chose the Cardinal over four other finalists: Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama and Ohio State.

Vaughters made the announcement before family, friends and teammates at a gathering a Rock Hard Fitness in Tucker, where he has trained since he was in the eighth grade.

Congrats to Stanford. Vaughters is the kind of guy I'd love to have at OSU: gets accolades for his abilities on the field, yet never loses sight of the chance to get a top notch education at the same time. These are the players that are so easy to root for, no matter who they suit up with.
