A lot of Georgia fans feel Ohio State and Stanford will be his final two.

Just going by what the kid says and the type of family he comes from I dont see him going to Georgia, Georgia Tech, USC, North Carolina, or Alabama. That pretty much leaves us, UF, and Stanford.

Based on what he's said, he doesn't think he'll stay instate, the family is too classy to send their kid to play for Kiffin IMO, I think one of the parents is a UNC alum, but I don't think they have the football tradition to pull him, and I havent seen one Bama fan project him into their class, and they usually think they can get whoever they want from the state of Georgia.

He is an Ohio Native?
That is what Diddy gleaned.

If UGA is not in the top2 I feel pretty good, if he schedules a visit to OSU this summer before he decides I feel very good.

Bennet, Cash, and Tanner should be the OSU liasons.
Vaughters has said he wants to play with kids who share similar goals athleticaly and in the classroom,

BN $ - Another Super Prospect Trending OSU's Way

5/19

By BK...father says he is debating whether to commit before the season or not...says OSU will likely make his top three...James talks about how much he enjoyed his visit last summer.

Have to disagree with BK on this one. Our info that we've had for some time, which was confirmed by The Bank yesterday, says that OSU fans shouldn't get their hopes up...

FWIW - UGA board sources still love this kid because the Tucker program is a great one and he's clearly one of the top players in the state. But we switched to a 3-4 defense this year and it is rumored that he has concerns with how he fits into that scheme, thus - the trending away from the Dawgs.

He's a dynamic athlete who is exceptionally bright and coachable. Whatever program lands him will be lucky indeed.

Tech, UGA make James Vaughters? cut to final five
May 20, 2010, by Chip Towers

Tucker?s James Vaughters has narrowed his list of college choices ? which peaked at 35 ? down to a final five.

Vaughters

The 6-foot-2, 235-pound linebacker told me during a visit to his Stone Mountain home Wednesday afternoon that it?s down to (alphabetically) Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ohio State and Stanford. That means Florida, North Carolina and Southern Cal, who made Vaughters? last cut down to eight, are now eliminated from contention for the top college football prospect in Atlanta.

Vaughters called coaches from the three cut schools Wednesday night. He will now focus all his energy and attention on his five finalists and hopes to have a decision ?by the end of summer, if not sooner.?

?All of them have what I?m looking for in terms of football and academics,? said Vaughters, a 4.0 student.
Ohio State: ?Naturally I?m a little biased toward Ohio State because I was raised as a fan [both parents are natives and much family still lives there]. After winning the Rose Bowl this year, they showed they have success consistently. Out of all my final schools, I?d say I?m most comfortable with coach Jim Tressel as far as being there the whole time there. He seems to be really attached to the state of Ohio and the school.?

If we are in the final 2 with Stanford and we have a strong family connection then I would have to believe we have a real chance. OSU and defense just seem to be top nationally every year which leads me to believe that the defensive development and coaching is top notch and James would likely have the same staff for all of his college years.

We always seem to be putting LB`s in the league. Our academics are improving and I like having family support in our state. James would be a huge get for this class. Fingers crossed on this one. Go Bucks
