'11 FL DB Jabari Gorman (Florida Signee)

Perhaps the 'Bama staff saw the writing on the wall for the Gator game (i.e. a blow-out) and wanted him to come in for the traditional rivalry game to experience that atmosphere.

Kind of like how we count on the Michigan game being the best indicator of the atmosphere at the 'Shoe, even though sometimes our most important game is Wisconsin or Penn State.

Schools sometime reschedule visits so they focus on really important games. OSU did this s few years ago.
I don't want to get into a discussion about how many recruits are told not to visit on certain weekends but Ohio State sure had plenty of them for the Miami game and now back to Gorman:)

FYI, did NOT visit Miami this past weekend for the FSU as scheduled...and apparently it was a real mess behind the scenes for Da U as they didn't take advantage of what should have been their biggest recruiting weekend of the season/year.

well, at least with the coaches focusing their full attention on the game, they took care of business on the field, oh wait...

It's not the fact that Jabari has went on the record saying we are his favorites to me, it is how many times he has said it. I like where we sit. There are still some big potential pickups on defense in this class, with Gorman, Grant, Crowell and Price on the board, but I really, really want to see Gorman end up here. Not just a great player, but a great kid.

Well, you gotta love our chances. Its just so difficult to pull kids out of South Florida with any consistency and Ohio State does this better than any other non-Southern school (and better than many down there). I think Gorman wants to be here, but the proximity factor is bigger than he thought.

With less than three months until national signing day, recruiting battles are coming down to the wire for the superpowers of college football
. With 65 of the Sporting News Top 100 already committed to schools, things could get intense for the final 35.

Several top recruits?players from programs that are solidly inside Sporting News? top 10 class rankings?said they would easily forego this year's Christmas gifts if they could lock in certain recruits by the time the holidays were over.

Ohio State recruit Jeremy Cash, a consensus four-star DB out of Plantation, Fla., said his pick would be simple.

?Jabari Gorman from Miami, period,? Cash told Sporting News. ?He?s a Florida guy like I am and we have a real close relationship. We both bring a certain swag onto the field and I have reason to believe we?ll be doing that together next year at Ohio State.?
