'11 D.C. DT Kevin McReynolds (UCLA Signee)

Good to see the flame rekindle here. Bennett and McReynolds would be a flout out sick DT combo, not to mention a perfect compliment to a gap plugger like Hankins. With our luck in the DC/Maryland area with national recruits, I am not holding my breath though.

I'm wondering if the DL recruiting isn't similar to the TE situation...2 spots with 3 offers out...first two to commit of Bennett, McReynolds and Hale get in.

I personally like McReynolds more, but I'd be completely fine with getting Bennett instead. It seems like Hale has fallen in love with UF now, not much mention of him anymore. Its been tough to pull MD/DC kids from the east coast(ACC or Big East) or even PSU. And I think this kid has a man-crush on UNC. Isn't he the kid that's close friends with Marvin Austin? That's gonna be a bigger hurdle than him being friends with Clarke, IMO

I like Bennett the most and then McReynolds. If it's a first two to commit situation, it shouldn't be a problem for me though cause Bennett is going to decide early.

Don't forget about Joe Hale either. We are in great shape with Bennett and good shape with Hale and McReynolds. In the end, we should land 2 DT's.

3 of those 7 are DEs, though: Wells, Mobley, and Baldwin.
not in this scheme. Heacock loves big versatile d-lineman and even uses his pure dts outside on occasion.

Heyward, Worthington, Simon, Rose are/were versatile bigs in his 3 or 4 man fronts.

Wells, Fellows, Miller give him more flexibility moving forward.

Wells has been lining up inside and making plays for awhile in practice and we finally got to see it on Saturday.

Willy wasn't staying at d end, and I'm not convinced Baldwin will either given that he is already at 265.
You'd be surprised at how close we are to having walk-ons crack the two-deep.
Larimore, Simon, Goebel, Wells, Bellamy... with hankins on the way, and miller and 1-2 others soon afterwards.

If osu can develop another starter quality end, heyward can slide inside.

That last quote was directly from some people on the team, fwiw.
Well we have starter issues in 3 wr sets, let alone the backups.

Jt hoards safeties yet there are only about 3 you want to see on the field each year.

Osu isn't stacked at dt, but I'd say they've been bringing in good numbers. If Floyd had not fallen prey to the chomper, if say the dt depth was perfect.
