And our Charmin soft OL and DL schemes.

You can definitely take the OL out of their aggressive mentality by calling a soft finess gameplan. When the offense drives down the field with Pryor scrambling for huge chunks of yards, and then you abruptly alternate the QBs when everyone in the [censored] stadium knew what the play is going to be, and when the play fails, how can you rest the entire blame on the OL? There is no doubt in my mind that our playcalling, especially our insistence on establishing a unnatural and artificial balance of run and pass has led to this.

Wow, OSU's d-line is playing with some fire. They're blowing up the USC line.

Wish you had been using that exact same quote on September 13.

Seriously, when Pete Carroll is coaching in a big game, he's the best coach in the country. When he's coaching against some namby bamby from the Pac-10, he's Phillip Fulmer.

We have numerous threads discussing tOSU issues against USC and otherwise. Some of these comments towards the staff are getting close to that line...I know its frustrating but bashing our coaches will not solve that.

Relax and enjoy the game.

Grazie.

I must say....

Does this validate Penn State now? This OSU team while it is playing above its own head right now is impressive right now!

Man this is insane. The USC surge will come but man oh man. This is by far the most impressive gameplan i've scene put together all year. Getting after the QB, playing sound assignments, and a good mix of run/pass. Even if the Beavers lose this game I will keep an eye on their team this year.

Their running back is excellent.

Did you miss the first TWO weeks? Stanford took them down too.

PSU might be legit, but it's impossible to tell right now.

OK, this is a conference game, on the road, and USC always seems to get WAY up for the big games and then disappear in games like this... but still, the way this one is going gives me a sinking feeling about our team. I was holding out hope that USC was just THAT good. Looks more like that game two weeks ago said more about the Buckeyes than the Trojans.

So when PSU comes to C-Bus and we knock them off . . .

PSU > Oregon St. > USC > OSU > PSU???

:2004:

Remind me again of the argument against a playoff system. . . .

Exactly. The talking heads will be yapping after this one then scratching their empty noggins after PSU leaves C-bus with another defeat.

Oregon State has been among the best teams in the country in rushing defense for the last several years. This offensive performance is interesting, but I'm not surprised that their D-Line is doing well. It's become something they're known for among those who follow stats.

Excuse me I have to go adjust my pocket protector.
