I saw several people saying Beanie Wells wouldn't have made a difference versus USC. I didn't buy it then and I sure as hell don't buy it now. :ohwell:

We as a fanbase are still not asking the relevant question here. Beanie Wells would not have mattered because Tressel would still have insisted on establishing a perfect balance between the run and the pass, which he did against LSU despite the fact that Beanie had 96 yards in the 1st quarter!!! which is the same number that Rodgers had. I've said this and I'll say it again, it's not that we don't have the horses, it's our baffling refusal to property use them.

Not only is thier offensive line playing GREAT, but they are a well coached ball team right now. They saw that screen to Hazleton from a mile away and look how fast they got up in there and popped him!

Has nothing to do with those two players. It has to do with our O-line getting dominated by USC. It blows my mind watching Oregon State's O line manhandle them.....

And do you think that maybe our O-line might have played with a bit more fire and confidence with the stud horse of the offense in the backfield?

I think it's well within the realm of possibility - sure as hell I would have liked to see it. As it was they were moving the ball with Boeckman and Boom......Beanie might have been the guy to finish some of those early drives too.....

And, as usual, if ifs and buts were hos and sluts, we'd all have AIDS.....
