'09 MI DT William Campbell (Michigan Signee)

....I'll pass. Adams is much more explosive, plays lower and has a better motor than Campbell. Not saying Campbell doesn't have potential, but I agree with Duane's assessment (when Bucknuts was free) that Campbell just doesn't look like a DT out there, and will probably end up on the OL someday like Joseph Barksdale. Adams, Hall then Campbell.

When did Duane make his evaluation? Was it before or after Campbell committed to Michigan? Have you seen both Adams and Campbell play?

I read Duane's assessment in June, when Bucknuts was free. So it was after Campbell's commitment. I haven't seen them play in person, and I don't pretend to be an expert or anything, but yeah, Adam's film shows a much more explosive player off the snap whereas Campbell's showed a sluggish DT with massive size. Still, great news that he's no longer committed to Michigan...

I didn't start this thread just for chuckles...I think we toss our hat in the ring soon if he is indeed decommitted from Michigan.

The question is, is he interested in us? If so, we HAVE to jump on it. Campbell's a beast...and an extremely talented one at that. Even if he does turn out to be an OL, I'll take him! Don't we need one of those, too? I think this is win-win-win!

I hate to potentially capitalize on dick-rods misfortunes, (yeah, right ), but man this is so excellent all the way around! Even if he does go to Petey, (ala RonJohnson, etc.), God forbid, I doubt Corey is going to follow him there. And I've never really been threated by Erickson...ever, I don't care what our ASU friends want to believe.

If nothing else, it turns up the heat on our boys Adams and Hall, to do the right thing and look homeward bound where they belong! But, man, wouldn't it be so wonderfully Petey-like if we could get all 3!!! Might drive me back to church again! I'm praying for that happy day!

And for DickRod not to have him......Ohhhhhhhhh, yes!!!!!

Word over on the UM Scout board is that Petey is the one that has gotten him looking.

Man things are not good in Wolverineland right now.

EDIT Unless you are BOISWATCHING. He says F Bill Campbell. He can't hang with Barwis.

The DL is a place where Michigan can ill aford to lose anybody...any defensive position. It would be interesting to know if the Buckeye staff would even offer at this point...IDK if he has a Buckeye offer? I would think if he called the staff the would offer immediately if they had not already...IIRC he ended his recruitment early. This is awesome!!
