I have to say, if Vlad chooses scUM, that would indicate that they have recruited really well in the secondary the past couple of years. Warren and Bobo are coming along nicely. Add that to Turner and Vlad, that gives them a very strong secondary for the next few years.

That's the same thing people said after Morgan Trent and Brandon Harrison ended up there...

Not saying you are wrong...just think you need to recruit more than 3-4 talented players to make sure you have a strong unit....and even then you aren't guaranteed anything...ask Notre Dame

Warren is having his struggles, but also unhealthy. UM has had good talent at CB over the years, where they have been atrocious is at safety. They've had the athletes, just not solid players.

Right now, UM would kill for someone that is lacking physically in favor of someone that has good football IQ at the safety position... all the athletic ability in the world with Stevie Brown, but nothing to show for it.


Warren might be good to move to safety as well if Turner's hips are as good as advertised. Warren still looks a little stiff when turning IMO.

Base package was a 3-3-5... I don't know enough about the defense to know if Warren was a safety or a rover or what, but he wasn't lined up over a WR all the time like a normal CB... so whatever you call that crazy position... that's what he played.
