'09 FL S Vladimir Emilien (Michigan Signee - transfer to Toledo)

Good luck to Vlad. scUM is gonna have a nice secondary in about two years, with Vlad, Turner, Bell, and Marvin Robinson.

True. That is shaping up to be very impressive. Off topic, but, as much as I love beating Michigan, (beating them bad is especially sweet), the bottom line is, we need them to be, at the very least, competitive. Beating them when they are good, ranked, is absolute joyful bliss. Somehow, beating them after Toledo, takes some of the ecstasy out of it for me. But, a win is a win.
Good luck, Vlad.

I have to say, if Vlad chooses scUM, that would indicate that they have recruited really well in the secondary the past couple of years. Warren and Bobo are coming along nicely. Add that to Turner and Vlad, that gives them a very strong secondary for the next few years

That's the same thing people said after Morgan Trent and Brandon Harrison ended up there...

Not saying you are wrong...just think you need to recruit more than 3-4 talented players to make sure you have a strong unit....and even then you aren't guaranteed anything...ask Notre Dame

Morgan Trent was a 4* WR commit that wasn't ever suppose to play DB. Brandon Harrison was a 3* when he committed to Michigan and only later got bumped up in the rankings.

Warren, Boubacar, and Justin Turner were all very hot commodities, all ranked in just about every Top 100 list that I've ever seen. Vlad probably would've been in every Top 100 list as well and headed to Ohio State had he not blown out his ACL. The afromentioned 4 players are a different caliber of recruit than Trent and Harrison were in my opinion.

Michigan safety Vladimir Emilien gives insight into team
By MARK SNYDER
FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER

Michigan safety Vladimir Emilien, who played five games as a freshman last season 2009, apparently took questions from the public in a chat format today.

Among the highlights:

Asked whether a lingering injury limited his playing time last season, he wrote: ?to be honest i dont know why i wasnt playing... my coach told me he felt i wasnt ready yet.?
He said he predicts U-M will finish 12-0 because the Rose Bowl is their goal.

Nothing like setting the bar high and then limboing under it...
Considering where he's set the bar, and how short of it they are...they won't be limboing under it...they could be the tallest man on earth walking on pogo sticks and still not be able to jump high enough to reach that bar.

Edit...BN27 said the same thing only better...I should READ before I post...

FREEDOM PRESS SPORTS WRITERs GUILD OF CRACK

In breaking news. Michigan safety Vladimir Emilien was taken into custody for giving an interview stating Michigan will go 12-0 and to the Rose Bowl. Authorities grew suspicious right away that he was "high as a kite" and on crack. Coach Rod was reached by phone and confirmed he would be happy with 2 victories in 2010 and 12 victories over the course of the next 3 to 4 seasons.
