'09 FL S Vladimir Emilien (Michigan Signee - transfer to Toledo)

10/14

From the Wisconsin site...talks about bonding with Aaron Henry during his visit to Madison...talks about some of the other Floridians at Wisconsin and says he is focused on Wisconsin, Michigan, Stanford, USF and Wake Forest with OSU still getting back into the mix.

Vlad has frequently made references to OSU have a couple of safeties already in this class...but when I look at the commitment list the only pure safety I see is Jamie Wood...Hall and Green likely end up on offense, IMO...Clarke is a corner and Brown could end up at WR or CB. Barnett is a true corner and the McDougald situation is what it is...

Rodriguez welcomes more visitors

With his Michigan Wolverines off to an uncharacteristic 2-5 start, there is no doubt coach Rich Rodriguez needs to add talent to his roster that will fit his system.

Rodriguez has done well thus far on the recruiting front. His current group of 18 commitments is the country's No. 11 recruiting class in the latest ESPN.com rankings.

This weekend, with Michigan State headed to Ann Arbor for the big in-state rivalry game, Rodriguez will welcome in a number of prospects on official visits. Two of those prospects are teammates Vlad Emilien and Josh Robinson (Plantation, Fla.).

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Emilien made an official visit to Wisconsin the weekend of Oct. 11 when the Badgers played Ohio State. In addition to Michigan this weekend, he also has a trip scheduled to Stanford the weekend of Nov. 15. Ohio State, South Florida and Wake Forest are the other schools Emilien is interested in.

"All of them are still pretty equal," Emilien said. "I'll take my visits and see how things go."

I hope he takes his time and makes the right decision about his future. I hope we have a spot waiting for him, he'd look great in our secondary in S&G! I'd love to see him, CJ Barnett and Corey Brown in the defensive backfield! We'd dare people to pass on us!!!

More on the Madison visit a week and a half ago. The trip exceeded his expectations and he could picture himself going to Wisconsin. Wants to finish his visits before he decides though and may be adding one up to Minnesota. Has a top six of UW, Michigan, Stanford, OSU, Wake Forest, and Central Florida.

Recruits enjoy their visits to Michigan despite loss to MSU

bilde

Michigan recruiting visitors Vladimir Emilien, Josh Robinson, Shavodrick Beaver and Dewayne Peace attended the U-M/MSU game Saturday.

...

Lauderhill (Fla.) Plantation teammates Vladimir Emilien and Josh Robinson came for their official visits together. They were hosted by safety Brandon Smith and linebacker Kenny Demens and credited the freshman for showing them a good time in Ann Arbor.

“They were pretty cool because they were 18 and 19 years old, and it was just fun to be around them,” said Emilien, a 6-foot-1, 186-pound safety prospect.

“Brandon Smith, he's real cool. I had a blast with him. He's hilarious, so we got along real well," added the 6-0, 180-pound Robinson, a wide receiver recruit.
