'09 AZ DT Corey Adams (Arizona State Signee)

ESPN - Barkley selling USC to recruits - Football Recruiting

Two more Arizona players in the top 100 are Corey Adams and Craig Roh. Adams (Saguaro, Scottsdale) is the top defensive tackle in the West and has been one of the region's top linemen since his sophomore year. The tackle recently cut his list to USC, Arizona State and Ohio State. The Buckeyes are his childhood favorite, but the two Pac 10 programs seem to be leading. He may announce his choice Jan. 4 at the Under Armour All-American game.

Just to clear up, Usc is not cooling on Corey, we are not offering any other player for the 2009 class unless he very very impressive and from California. We are focusing attention on Kennard, Adams, Harris and Te'o and starting on the 2010 class. With Ucla on the up, Pete see's recruiting top players early as a key.

No one said USC is cooling on Corey.

This is the same ESPN that ranked Daquen Bowers over Terrelle Pryor, right?

Just checking.

I don't have a problem with that...Bowers and Pryor were 1A and 1B as far as I was concerned...

Back to the topic at hand...

There's no doubt after watching Miami's front four work the UF offense for three quarters that Adams is our most important recruit left. Having the strength and quickness at the point of attack is the only way disrupt fast and methodical offenses like UF. As good as our back seven are, they would still be making tackles 7 or 8 yards downfield against the UF ballcarriers because we don't have the horses right now to slow them and make them hesitate at the point of attack.

By BK...not making an official to USC this weekend because they are not allowing officials this weekend. Says his decision will be based on his officials and will announce at the Under Armour game.
