I have trouble believing he will end up anywhere else but OSU.

Yeah but that's just typical reporter noncommittalism and it's pretty fair given the information available.

It points out that he was never quite as firm to WVU as people wanted to believe and that Ohio State was a major player the entire time. It hits on the Tricket influence and the fact that he is at least still giving lip service to WVU.

I guess I read it differently than you...Jenkins has maintained OSU is his leader now and the article doesn't mention that, only stating the "the Mountaineers are still in the thick of things and so are the Buckeyes". Nothing is ever 100% obviously but I think that writer could at least conceed that OSU is out in front at this point in time.

Holliday back with Mountaineers
By JIM BUTTA POSTED: January 13, 2008

MORGANTOWN ? Parkersburg High School senior lineman Josh Jenkins will have not one, but two visitors on Monday when he returns from his weekend visit to Florida State.

Recently-named West Virginia University head coach Bill Stewart already had made plans to visit with the nation?s top-rated offensive lineman.

Now, following Saturday?s announcement that John ?Doc? Holliday will serve as WVU?s associate head coach, recruiting coordinator and tight ends and fullbacks coach, it appears Stewart won?t be making the recruiting visit to Parkersburg alone.

?Doc and I will be in the home Monday night of what we believe is the most outstanding lineman in the country,? Stewart said during Saturday?s teleconference to announce Holliday?s hiring.

Wow, Bill Stewart got awful close to "talking about a recruit" in that article. I am not sure of how much help Holliday is going to be. I'm sure I read somewhere (most likely in this thread) that JJ was not real happy when Holliday was interviewed to be the Head Coach at WVU beacuse he (Holliday) bashed WVU when he was recruiting for Florida.

according to the FSU frontpage on rivals FSU has made a "big move" on Josh Jenkins

Florida State Football: Warchant.com

eh. Warchant dresses eveything up nice and pretty all the time. FSU also thinks they have a chance at Julio Jones.

Keep in mind they're in business to make money. Positive articles = more viewership.

I'm not buying.

Ohio State or West Virginia for Josh, IMO.
