'08 NV PF Luke Babbitt (Nevada Verbal)

2008 class is already a consenus #1, no?

Babbitt would be an incredible addition to the class, obviously. But, any of the final choices left to fill the last schollie is just astonishing. The talent Matta is drawing to Ohio State is insane.

Babbitt will make a decision in April. UCLA, Ohio State, Arizona, Gonzaga and Nevada are his final five schools

I guess the only reason this concerns me is that if he is going to make a decision in April why hasn't he made an official visit to Ohio State. I know that he was here on an unofficial visit for the MSU game and I know there still is sometime before April but the timing just concerns me a little.

if i'm thinking correctly, players can't take official visits until their senior year. if that's correct he will not have taken official visits to any of his final schools.

Considering I think the Roe ship has started to set sail, and the fact that the contact with Gates has been minimal, I would say the staff is putting their energy into Babbitt. Getting Pryor without having him count against the basketball schollie limit would be huge.
This is just my best guess:
1a. Roe/Gates/Babbitt on Scholly
1b. Pryor (Walk-On)

Babbittit is rated higher than Gates by the recruiting gurus for whatever that is worth. I also think that TMrates him a little higher. He can just do more things.

I am a little confused about Pryor I did not think you could be ona major scholarship like football or basketballand play for the other teamwithout that scholarship counting against that team. I am almost sure that when Rickey Dudley played football and basketball that when he did play basketball it counted against the scholarship limit for basketball. I don't know maybe the rules have changed since that time.
