'07 NJ OL Anthony Davis (Rutgers signee)

Rivals $

9/17

Update by Mike Farrell. Anthony says Miami is his leader and he'll likely wait to take his visits after his season.

This story was published 9/15. I'm interested to see if things change for Anthony if the rumors of Larry Coker being fired turn out to be true.

Anthony has a new leader as Miami has now been dropped from his list. His top two are USC and tOSU in that order, with Florida, FSU, and Rutgers rounding out his top 5.

The plot thickens! The glamour programs just might have weeded themselves out. Coker is on the hot seat and USC is under a possible NCAA probe (the Reggie B. situation is only going to get hotter and will scare many recruits away). Don't rule out the other warmer climate schools, they may rise to the top ahead of OSU.

I was chatting with some USC fans, and they say that they have made O'Dowd and a few others higher priorities. They said they have heard Davis may have some trouble qualifying...
If we continue to pursue him and he makes grades, he may fall into our laps (JMO)...

Is OSU harder to get accepted to than Florida or FSU. If grades are issue then look for NCST. to get involved sometime.

Davis would be a good get. However, if we are to take one more OLer, I would prefer O'Dowd considering that we are in contention for 4 blue chip tackles for next year's class. O'Dowd could come in and compete right away for the spots vacated by the seniors. (C, RG)

Not me. This is almost like the old bird in a hand. Give me Davis and O'Dowd. I'll worry about next year next year.

I agree, you take them when you can get them. The 2008 class of lineman has no guarantees. Wasn't Claytor a lock?

Jenkins could be our trump card with Davis.
