The RoJo saga takes turn for weird

Friday, February 02, 2007

At some point Wednesday, my sports world divided into two kinds of people - those who know who RoJo is, and those who don't.
Yes, RoJo.
RoJo, as the majority of you are blissfully unaware, is Ronald Johnson, the best high school football player in the state. Johnson plays for Muskegon High School and was assumed to be coming to the University of Michigan.
This is important because he's a gifted cornerback, and anyone who watched the Rose Bowl knows Michigan has to be reconsidering its no-cornerbacks defensive scheme.

Wow....that head coach sure has his own agenda....."Things aren't going well!" " I really can't comment"

Either Rojo suddenly lost control of his bowels, someone shredded all of his offers, or the coach is upset Michigan's chances are pretty slim at this point.

Ill go with the last one!!

Pretty pathetic for a HS coach to go public with comments like that. I don't think you'd ever hear Ted Ginn Sr. saying a Glenville players recruitment "wasn't going so well" if he was favoring somebody over Ohio State.:roll1:

Easy now...these guys get intense pressure to keep kids in-state or to a certain school. I remember Coach Rios catching massive heat for the Fred Davis saga.

Well, we just got a 5star corner in Donovan Warren big suprise, he was thought to be a Usc lock. Hope we still land Rojo that would put our class over the top.

Go Blue!

This shouldn't effect Rojo too much. He already knows the DB situation at TSUN. I'm pretty sure all the spots in the def. backfield are open for comp this season. TSUN current DB's are abysmal (and the best one who wasn't that great to me went pro). Hell, If they were recruiting me at corner I would of demanded they get someone else too including a safety.

Actually Coach Ginn, being the smart man he is, he did the opposite. He complained about his lack of relationship with TSUN. He just wants his kids in school. He worries about where after they get the schollie.

Had to add that, back to Rojo.

Maybe I misread the article. Either way, I'm not too optimistic about RoJo coming to tOSU, but it would be a nice swerve.

At least we arent bashing the mom like many of the michigan fans were doing after the first word that his mom had a lot to do with him dropping michigan...
Every fanbase has a vocal, lunatic fringe. Recruiting is just a creepy business that gives them a disproportionate voice.

Only thing to do about that on forums is have active moderators who are quick to muzzle such things, like they do here.
