'07 AZ OL Kris O'Dowd (Southern Cal Signee)

It's funny how we backed off O'Dowd and USC backed off Davis and effectively traded two great players. If we didn't have such an urgent need for DTs, perhaps there would have been room for O'Dowd in this class. He's going to be a good football player for the Trojans just as Davis is going to be a good player for us.

Perhaps because the coaches have something slightly higher on their priority list this week.

That has been implied by about every post in this thread in the last few days...but as to why he was told that all visits were being cancelled, there isn't a very good explanation for that.

Let me say this about that ... there really is no good explanation for how the trip to Columbus was cancelled. And, there are good ways and bad ways to handle any situation. In my opinion, lying to a recruit in a manner that would easily be shown for a lie is insulting, invites criticism, and unnecessary casts Ohio State in a poor light. Simply put, Coach Peterson could and should have handled the situation much better. All that aside, Kristofer had all but acknowledged privately that he was going to commit to a school other than Ohio State; so, no real harm done.

The good news for Buckeyes fans is that Ohio State appears to have a silent commitment from a top OL recruit out of Jersey who should make a wonderful right tackle.

Thank you for all your well wishes and kind comments towards my brother over the past few months and GO BUCKEYES in that National Championship game!

Thanks for sharing your insight throughout this process. I wish Kris came away with a more positive vibe from Ohio State, but I'm sure he'll make USC very very happy.

Best of luck to you and yours.
