'06 OH OL/DT Aaron Brown (Virginia Tech Signee)

I'm sure the staff would love to offer every Ohio kid who dreamed of playing in the Shoe, but that is just not possible. I think the staff may have tried to get Troy to wait this thing out, but I highly doubt that they flat out lied to him. Sounds like he is extremely bitter...

my bad... i was wrong... it wasn't Pool who did the Pascley update, it was Jeremy Beckham. i read this update and the Royce Adams update at the same time (which was written by Pool).
coincidentally, Beckham was on the BN board the other day stirring up stuff about Lee Tilley and how he would have never considered the Bucks after his first offer came.:roll2:

I didn't even know they shut that down. What a bummer! I think that is a first for me. I don't think I've ever really stirred up any shit on these boards before. I don't know what it is, but those two chubby bastards bring out the worst in me. After posting on that thread I actually called and cancelled my Scout subscription. Those two meatheads flat out suck. I had been going there since right before Mili and everyone left however long that's been. It'll be weird once my subscription actuall runs out, I'm payed up through Oct.

Aaron Update...

Aaron will be taking his full allotment of five visits. Those that are definite include a visit to tOSU, a visit to Florida, a visit to Miami (Fla), and a visit to Va Tech. The fifth visit will be during the first week of September to a school yet to be determined.(It won't be FSU, more on that later) Aaron will be making his decision following his fifth official visit on or about Oct 3.

As for the rumor stating that Urban Meyer had dissuaded Aaron from visiting FSU, no truth to that at all. It was for a totally different reason, one I may or may not expound on.

There has been some full court pressure put on from the aforementioned teams for Aaron's signature. Later, I'll share with you what are some of the things that are going to factor in Aaron's decision making process.

With limited schollies it's going to be tough to see quality kids go elseware! We just can't get them all!
that post has zero relevance here Taos... you've been terrified by the schollie limit before and seem to want to continue that theme.

I suppose the schollie limit also makes it hard to land Chris Wells, or Ted Ginn too right? Cuz this kid is the closest thing in Ohio left this year that compares to those two...

Spoke to one of his coaches this morning and it is the same cast of charactors still in the mix. Fla, FSU, ND and OSU. NO mention of Tenn. Still sounds wide open but he hopes that he ends up at OSU. He did say that Weis was definitely in the mix. That was kinda a surprise to me.

Many like Conner Smith better (including myself), but in terms of offers he does not compare to brown. Brown also got a little screwed on his ratings based on the Chris Pool scenario. It's always hard to tell whether recruiting drama is overhyped or is fair in terms of the kid, when it could very well just be an overeager parent.

Interesting to hear no mention of Tenn, AGAIN. Where the Vols ever a serious player for his services? Of course, Bob and Chris over at Scout will go to their deathbeds over this one. I would think Florida is our toughest competition for this kid, Urban is putting together a solid class. However, in the end, I dont see how any of these schools have anything over OSU. In addition, with a father so involved in his son's life, I think it would be difficult letting him go so far from home.
