'06 OH OL/DT Aaron Brown (Virginia Tech Signee)

Florida may be out of mix for Aaron. Don't really know about the Notre Dame scenario, but could be intriguing. Some of the schools interested in Aaron have apparently told him he would be in the "two deep" right off the bat with very real possibilities of cracking the starting line-up sooner than later. Although not paramount, having the opportunity to play early is a key factor. With that in mind fellow Buckeye fans, Aaron is not intimidated by the pursuit of Connor Smith or the fact that Alex Boone is already in the fold. Aaron is a very confident (not cocky) person in his abilities and his approach to football and competition doesn't discourage him. The rapport with the O-line coach is a factor in the decision making process. Obviously academics and academic support, as Aaron fully realizes that there will be life after football. Playing for a championship caliber team is also a consideration. Distance, not really a big factor. It's not a slam dunk per se, that Aaron will be in the S&G. As I have reiterated, the final decision where Aaron goes will be left up to Aaron. With that being said, those closest to Aaron are most impressed with the Buckeyes. They are convinced without a doubt, with most of the consderations that Aaron is pondering, that The Ohio State University is second to none!

About those 'scout' guys...

What ever Pool and Lichtenfeld speculate on certainly doesn't come from the Brown camp. I can only assume that maybe their info may be coming from other sources close to the other programs that Aaron would be visiting and or interested in. If you notice, most of the other schools are southern. Maybe those other sources are encouraged by Aaron's ongoing interest in visiting other programs. Visiting other programs was the game plan for Aaron from the start. If there was any super strong consideration for other schools, I would've known. So for all intensive purposes, classify their speculations as Penn and Teller BULLSH*T!!

Pool did tell me that the pull to UT from AMW shouldn't be underestimated. so i took it from that that possibly AMW's family was a source, since i believe that Mr. Brown is friends with the father. madville, any clue what Pool would have heard from Connor Smith's dad? Pool told me that it was an interesting piece of info that he couldn't reveal until after signing day...

I am glad that THE Ohio State University Football has left a impression on Aaron. With all the factors and influences in his life, let's all hope that his choice, is for the Scarlet and Gray. Thanks Madvillebuck for your info of the situation. It kinda makes one(like me) feel close to the action! Recruiting, that is....

That fucker has said he's got info that he will spill at an appropriate time before. It always ends up either the info never comes out at all or it's really not that big a deal. His ego is in full flare. Fuck him. He's just talking up his game.

Edit: spelling

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. His father has previously stated that Connor Smith's decision would have some impact on their choice of school. I would hope Smith committing to OSU would be a positive recruiting tool for the Bucks.

I would be surprised if they made a decision before September, based on what I've heard.

His senior year will also be interesting to watch. As you may know, he wasn't all-league last year, despite his enormous potential. If he can add an edge and upgrade his motor, watch out, as he already has technique and footwork skills to go with his body. He has been lucky to be around collegiate and pro players through his father's youth sports camps growing up. With his intelligence, all he needs is a little aggression added, and he should be able to put it all together.

Come on Aaron, be the Buckeye you want to be!

Go Bucks!

BN$ had this article the other day. it's an interview with Chris Wells. Gary Housteau apparantly played a guessing game with him on who tOSU just had commit. his first guess was Aaron Brown. maybe it's just me, but does anyone think this is a telling sign? i don't know how much Chris has been talking to guys, but he also said that Connor hinted to him awhile ago that he would join him at tOSU. knowing that, he still guessed Aaron Brown. maybe Chris knows something... or maybe i'm just crazy :tongue2:

Brown is preparing for his senior season. Will visit OSU for the Texas game. Tentative schools he is going to visit are Florida, Miami and Virginia Tech, and Tennessee. In reference to Connor Smith choosing OSU, Aaron's father said it has no bearing on his son.

Brown is listed as the #72 prospect in the August Rivals100.

Thanks....Even though I got dinged for bringing the thread to the front because "new information would be posted without prompting." Im glad to see that there was something out there. Thanks for the information from the other day.

The amount of information floating around about this kid has seemed to slow down quite a bit. In the beginning, it seemed information (mostly rumors) was coming from everywhere. Now its seems as if its much less. They must really be focusing on the final schools. What a tough decision.

Hopefully Connor knows something! ; )
