'06 OH OL/DT Aaron Brown (Virginia Tech Signee)

Rivals $

8/4/05

From BSB...Aaron has scheduled all 5 official visits. He will visit Auburn on 9/3, Ohio State on 9/10, Louisville on 9/17, Virginia Tech on 9/24 and Miami on 10/1. Purdue is the only other school he is considering. His father says Ohio State is still the favorite, followed closely by Virginia Tech.

So much for Chris Pool's theory that he will visit Tennessee...

after seeing this visit list, i feel much more at ease about Aaron eventually becoming a Buckeye. the two main schools rumored to be threats to tOSU, Florida and Tennessee, didn't make the cut. it will still be a fight to get him, but i feel much more comfortable now.

wadc..thats to funny......

I look at Brown and his recruitment like this.....no news is good news.
I agree 100%...

I can't remember if he visisted Florida or Tennessee unofficially, but that fact that he is not visiting them officially cannot be just a coincidence. How often does a kid commit to an out-of-state school without ever taking an official visit there, especially a kid with an offer list like Aaron's? Rarely. Auburn still concerns me a bit, as does his father saying that Virginia Tech is just barely behind OSU. I think in the end though, this is all positive for the Buckeyes.

Aaron's final choice?

With the most recent update on Aaron Brown, supposedly his father stated that Ohio State is still the leader.... or are they? Well, I have heard it through the grapevine that a reliable source close to the Aaron Brown camp maintains that Aaron does have a leader, and it's NOT Ohio State. I'm not one to make posts based on heresay, but the reason I think there might be some truth to this is b/c I've actually heard a few rumblings that Aaron Brown could possibly just be using tOSU as a smokescreen and then pick another school in the end. Some people seem to think there could be a big surprise in store for the Buckeye Nation when Aaron Brown makes his college choice. I hope I'm wrong guys, but you just never know what might happen in the recruitment of an 18 yr old kid. Btw, the school rumored to be leading for Aaron Brown is Va. Tech...FWIW.

This is a good sign! Brown at the Texas game, along with CWells, CSmith, Homan, AJ Wallace, etc..These guys are gonna be blown away by what they see on that Saturday, and it might not have anything to do with the final score. Most will be ecstatic that they already picked the Buckeyes, and those that haven't already, will see something that will be very hard for any school to duplicate this season. I love our chances with any recruit that takes the time to see Columbus that weekend. Anyone know where to find a list of scheduled visits that day, or know of the guys I missed or got wrong? I just would love to see a who's who of visits that day, because IMO most will be Buckeyes soon.

Aaron reiterates his visit schedule and says all schools are back to square one in terms of evaluation.

Personal Take: Don't buy the square one subscription seller...someone will need to sweep the Browns off their feet to get him away from tOSU.

What would be the purpose of a "smokescreen"?

if he picks another school he picks another school. Why would they purposely release false information to throw people off? thats retarded

i think people in and around the Brown camp have been throwing out mixed messages to confuse people. this is not an uncommon thing with recruiting, especially if they want to keep his decision a "surprise". by surprise in this case i truly believe that they are trying to throw everyone off the scent, which is leading to tOSU. i agree with what grad said in Aaron's recruiting thread, that someone will have to knock Aaron's socks off to get him away from tOSU.
