'06 MD CB A.J. Wallace (Penn State signee)

I think he has become deeply engaged in the hype surrounding his recruitment, like many kids do. Especially with the recent offer from USC, I am sure he is very enamored with them. I also don't want to discount the fact that Nebraska has been on him the longest and PSU is really close to home, and he is good friends with Walton who likes PSU and Nebraska.

I really don't think AJ knows where he wants to go right now. I just hate the fact that his visit was so early. Yeah it was great for him to see the atmosphere, but why couldnt it of been an unofficial. It would be great to get him on campus with a couple of the commits and current recruits.

besides the texas visit, he also was here in the summer time for one of the OSU camps. Later that weekend, he hung out with salley, whitner, wells, wells, ginn, terry... and everybody else on the north sidelines of the N/S all-star game (boone, o'neal, lenix, etc).

it would be nice to refresh his memory again, but I think that first unofficial visit in the summer was pretty big as well.

Rivals $ (PSU site)

12/5

Wallace enjoyed his visit to PSU. He was hosted by Deon Butler and Jordan Norwood. The coaches told him that they would use him both ways, just like Derrick Williams and Justin King. His final visit will be either this weekend or next weekend to either USC or Miami. He will still announce at the All-American game.

Nevada was saying over on Scout that our chances of getting Wallace are slim. 10% chance is what he is saying. With Wallace faaling off the radar, and Hill most likely ending up at Miami, where do we go from here? Is a shut down corner in this class a big concern?

Both of the DB's currently committed are capable of playing as big physical corners if asked. Man to man is about hips, feet and technique with the emphasis on technique. We would love to pick-up another DB and we will so not to worry.
