'06 CA WR David Ausberry (USC signee)

Rivals$

from the wisconsin site:

Ausberry talks about three schools that are sticking out to him.. USC, Georgia, and Nebraska. also talks a little about his sept. 9 visit to nebraska, which he claims is tentative until he gets a clearer picture what's going on that weekend. he also claims a comfort factor will be important to where he ends up

Here's to hoping he becomes remarkably uncomfortable, and at the very least would enjoy watching the best OOC game in years from the sidelines.

Was there any mention of tOSU in that article?

Hopefully we can get him in for the Iowa game or somehow get him in for Sept. 10 (if he ends up not visiting Neb. on the date of the biggest OOC game of the year).
absolutely no mention of ohio state in the article. on his prep page on rivals, he still lists OSU as medium along with USC, scUM, nebraska and georgia. also, like i said before, the sept. 9 visit is by no means set in stone so hopefully, he will change his mind!

he lists georgia, nebraska, and USC as his favorites because they send him the most handwritten and personal letters which he claims makes him feel they want him the most. also, does my link work or does it take you to a page that does not exist?

if he would honestly rather attend a nebraska v. wake forest game over the ohio state university v. texas game at night at the shoe then i dont see how we can stand a ghost of a chance to land him, it baffles me how anyone could choose any game over this game.

I agree, if you are a college football fan you will not miss this game, period.

Haha so true jlb 1075 we tend to get a little excited over one interview. Nebraska seems to twist it's interviews with some bias occasionally. I just wait to hear what the tOSU website has to say. Get him for the Iowa game if he must miss the UT game. I think other than the lights it may be just as big as the UT game imo. When you think about it here is what might bode well for us:
1. Hodge and Greenway. I doubt we test the run up the middle as much as the UT game. We should throw it around more and should appeal to WR's quite a bit.
2. We got thrashed by Iowa last year. Getting beat 33-7 or whatever it was should get us motivated to come out with some intensity.
3. College Gameday? If we beat UT and Iowa comes in undefeated there is a good chance that both teams are in the top 5.
4. We may get his last official visit. If he goes to USC and Nebraska before us then we sit good. Possible to make a last impression on him with a big day at the shoe.

I think it's a possible scenario that he comes in knowing we beat Texas(given the best case scenario), he see's his father, see's the passing attack, and one of the premier games of the year and ends up at OSU. The more likely scenario is him at USC yes I know but all I am saying is we have a shot.

this is great to hear espicially since i was the last person to post that it didnt sound like he wasnt coming to tOSU. im glad that we are back in his top 3 and i hate how some of the rivals articles slant it so that it sounds like some schools are in the top three while some are not. hopefully, with a commitment by percy harvin, he is ours!
