'06 CA WR David Ausberry (USC signee)

I haven't heard anything to indicate that he was at camp.
He definitely wasn't there... I looked for him for a while on saturday and his gigantic frame did not stick out. There was only one very tall WR type and that kid was definitely too skinny to be ausberry.

I think he is definitely USC's to lose after skipping camp... however once he watches the OSU passing attack this year he may reconsider. Unless you are a hardcore fan you can easily miss the potential OSU has thru the air this coming fall.

Personally, I think Dukes will land that fourth WR spot in a spread formation, leaving us with four incredibly athletic WRs but no true Big WR. I think Lyons will be serviceable in this role, but it might be easier to sell to Ausberry that we need him as our big WR threat in the spread formation.

I think Ausberry isn't really thinking much more about his so-called silent verbal to USC he made during the spring... so therefore we should keep an eye on this kid once our passing attack is soaring.

Scout $

7/7

David says tOSU and USC have a substantial lead over Michigan, Georgia, and Nebraska. He will take all of his visits and decide close to NLOID.

Personal Take: David is very complimentary of USC in his updates and did not attend any other camps this summer. Barring a let-down season from the Trojans, I see David staying in Cali.

Allan Wallace is a good guy, and he esp. knows his stuff about Trojan recruiting b/c he posts sometimes on the Wild West board.
Allen Wallace is a USC grad, so I would hope that he knows a little something about Trojan recruiting. That being said, Allen is a the best in the business, and he is fair (not a USC homer).

BSB - Mike Wachsman - 07/08/05

Similar to the Allen Wallace article - David's top schools are Southern Cal, Ohio State, Nebraska, Michigan, and Georgia, with USC, OSU, and Nebraska being the leaders are likely spots for official visits.

It will be good to get him out here whenever, but it looks as if he won't be available for the OSU-Texas game. Any OOS player giving OSU serious consideration will be in awe during that contest. For that matter, any prospect! I'm anticipating a who's who of top flight prospects at that game for all OSU athletic programs across the board.
