  1. Andre Davis to the Patriots

Belichek wouldn't have done this if he didn't have questions about his current crop of wr's. That being said Bethel Johnson, David Terrell, and PK Sam have all been limited in preseason due to injury, so for the Pats I guess it makes more sense now...
  2. NFL's easiest to hate teams

I'm surprised the Patriots aren't on everyone's hate lists. I know I'd hate them if I weren't from the area, and grew up watching/rooting for them. I would think that people would want former Buckeyes winning rings...and lots of them. :D
  3. Weekly Upset Picks Contest

Sounds fun, I'd definitely like to try my hand at that!
  4. Game Thread Game Two: Texas 25, Ohio State 22 (final)

I believe the Patriots and Lance Armstrong have recently "broken" said jinx.
  5. 'Roids Hammer Coming Down Again Soon

I think so too, as it's highly unlikely that he goes from kevin millar-type stats (5hr, .257 avg at end of June) to a 14 hr month of July naturally. Watching him early in the season he was quite skinny, and could not catch up with the heater. Then in the July series vs. the Sox he looked like a...
  6. WSox vs Yanks

The TV announcer for the White Sox is hilarious on his calls for strikeouts: "Oh, he gone!" And he throws in a "Oh, he gone....gaaaaaaaaaaasss" when the White Sox pitcher K's the guy with the heater. Funny stuff. Also, I've seen two yankee games where an idiot falls onto the protective...
  7. WR Bam Childress (Official Thread)

Bam Childress impressing Patriots Saw a thread on Drew Carter, and thought people might like to know that another former tOSU wr is faring well in training camp this season. http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/articles/2005/08/06/case_of_the_drops_for_bryant/
  8. Can we fire this woman already?

I think the onus is definitely on the student to learn the material, however, I think that profs do need to be held accountable for poor teaching. I mean we aren't the experts so we need help in interpreting the equations, concepts, etc, which is their job. The profs shouldn't hold your hand...
  9. Rafael Palmeiro suspended for 'Roids !

Speaking of stopping and starting...how about giambi's torrid month of july? I'm not defending Raffy, but a good portion of the homer jump could be him locking in as a player ('93--37hrs--was only his 6th full season). Also, don't forget the overall homer binge which started in the late 90's...
  10. Game Thread Game Two: Texas 25, Ohio State 22 (final)

In regards to the stats and all that bs: there are some things you just know, or have a feeling about from watching college football every weekend your entire life (granted I'm not that old). I know that JT is a better coach than mack brown, and that he wins the big games. I think you get a gut...
  11. Worst Trades 80's & 90's

Didn't the Red Sox trade Curt Schilling to the Orioles for Mike Boddicker in '86? That's pretty lopsided. Also, I'd say another bad trade (for the yankees) was Chuck Knoblauch to the yanks for Cristian Guzman and Eric Milton. Sure, they both suck now, but they had several good seasons for...
  12. RB Eddie George - (1995 Heisman winner, CFB HOF, 4x Pro Bowl, HC Tenn St)

Ohiobuck, do you know when exactly in the fall it opens? I'm visiting my bro at some point this fall at school, and I really want to eat there!
  13. Yankee-Killers

Thanks for the info Brutus it was really interesting to peruse the stats for myself once I saw the avg you posted. I got similar info at yahoo.com->MLB->stats-> batter vs. pitcher. I just know that as a Sox fan, there is no other yankee hitter I fear more in the clutch than Jeter. (Some of the...
  14. Yankee-Killers

You're calling b-unit an idiot, but I'd proof my own posts before I say things like that because it's spelled: FETISH. In the spirit of the National Spelling Bee, I'd like to use it in a sentence: Jeter has an A-Rod fetish. The beanings were a factor, dope! You know what a lot of Red Sox...
  15. WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (All B1G, All-American)

I just have a question. For punt returns, do you think we'll get a lot of blocked punts this year because maybe the punter wants to hold the ball as long as possible to let the coverage get down to #7/#4? This is not considering a punt block formation (unless the situation calls for it), but...
  16. RB Maurice Clarett (B1G Freshman of the Year, National Champion)

I know he was exploring all facets which is nice to see, but why did he lead with the covering the tracks in every situation? I felt that was kind of a cheap shot after the bell, so to speak, because to me I think the program has been open from the start, but maybe I read too much into it...
  17. ttun's "L" new jerseys (dumb)

What's with the baby size numbers on the front? Sorry I can't think of something funny to follow that up, but maybe one of you guys will--those posts were hilarious!
  18. Third down punt

What if he ran circles around PSU so badly that he pulled a barry sanders-esque move and ran for a td. now that'd be crazy! :yow2:
  19. Three In A Row

Did you not see the Orioles rip the yanks a new asshole during the 3-game sweep? Or how about the D-Rays taking 3 of 4? I'm not even an orioles fan, and you are missing my point, which is: when the the yanks play a team with a good offense, hell, a decent offense, they are going to have trouble...
