The weirdest part about this game is that we're favoured by 3, against a team that stretches the field while running against our outside linebackers and backup safeties. I'd call them batshit insane, but the bookies do have serious cash riding on their spreads.
Well, not only did I vgo all in for OSU in this game, I put $50 down on that -3.5 spread. You guys better cover that; I've had a bad enough day already. :osu:
Edit: Damnit.
Yeah, Rivas is reasonably accurate but has poor range. That's why he never does kickoffs.
There was an early whistle both on that play and the Henne near-fumble. The replay officials have called everything correctly, but you're right about the on-field officials sucking.
Nooooo way. Fine, you don't like The Victors, no big deal, but we don't play our fight song incessantly like the Trojans do. USC plays that awful thing to celebrate 1 yard runs on first down, or after a sack to congratulate the QB for not fumbling.
The only fight song worse than USC's is...
EDSBS is hysterical in their preview haikus for this week:
Iowa at Ohio State, 12:00 ABC
Neither team scores much
Bring a pillow and some scotch
Punt punt punt punt punt
MSU might be able to beat any team in the country, but they can lose to any team in the country too. This is a classic letdown game for us (MSU) after that great win. That said, I still went with State.
I understand what you're saying, but take a look through Wikipedia before dismissing it. Wikipedia is one of my first sources of information now, because it's so reliable and accurate. I can personally vouch for its accuracy in physics.
And for the record, yes, I'll be changing it back, not...
Herbstreit will probably do something along the same lines later this year, assuming Gameday is in Ann Arbor for The Game. I look forward to it; you know, quid pro quo. :D
You're absolutely right. That was utter bullshit. The officials made the right calls.
Do you honestly believe our defense didn't play well? Henne and the coaching are harder impossible to defend. But we've got 3 starters injured and 2 top backups who would've seen extensive playing time...
I hope the morons at Nebraska who fired Solich watched this game. I actually jumped up and cheered when Ohio won, despite not having any real stake in the game. :D
What a world it is, when Solich gets fired after a 9-3 season and Wannestadt gets coaching jobs at all.
Being a student now and native of the area, I certainly agree that MSU is out for blood, but 32.5 points? We (it still feels unnatural to say that about Sparty) aren't that good.
Hmm, you're taking my point out of context to some degree. I don't mean to imply that Brown is a great coach, nor that Paterno (nowadays) or Zook are even good coaches. Of course they're accountable for performance. Aren't I calling for Jim Hermann's head?
I think Brown is much better than...
