I hope the morons at Nebraska who fired Solich watched this game. I actually jumped up and cheered when Ohio won, despite not having any real stake in the game.
What a world it is, when Solich gets fired after a 9-3 season and Wannestadt gets coaching jobs at all.
Off in the distance somewhere I can see an OU conference title
It would be their first in 37 years...in the MAC...its amazing when a win over a terrible Pitt team is a huge coup, but this really is...Solich can probably get some pretty good talent to run his style of offense, its not exactly what the top tier teams are looking for anymore. The D looked solid, I think they mentioned it was in the top 2 or 3 last year in the MAC, which is pretty damned good, and a lot of the players seemed young
The way Pitt is playing, maybe Youngstown State has a shot after all...maybe not. We'll see in 2 weeks. If the Penguins beat 'em, the Moustache should be canned on the spot.
