There's a Yuengling Brewery here in Tampa - pretty good stuff I must say. My company picnic featured two kegs of their finest, I'm not sure where you would find it in Columbus though..
LoKY - where are you watching the game Saturday? I'm going to the BW's in Brandon - you should come too. The owner is an OSU alum, and they just opened this location in the summer - I'd like for it to be known as a gathering spot for local OSU fans...
I wouldn't bag on the GA chicks too much. I went to the Cocktail party last year, and was pretty impressed with the free agent market. All of the GA chicks dress up in red and black - and a solid majority were good looking blondes. The gator fans on the other hand, they were more of the...
I just read through this thread, and didn't see any mention of the blatant rub off by the USC receiver on their last TD pass. He practically threw his leg out to trip the guy, an obvious pick play and way worse than the call against VA Tech. All I know is we get OSU football in 5 days fellas -...
I saw a post on Herdnation.com about a planned Marshall tailgate party at Riverwatch tower on Lane. Click here: http://www.herdnation.com/forums/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=5859
I haven't been there in a couple years, is that typical hangout for fans of the opposing team?
Cal - I would say they're fairly comparable to NC State. Their coach, Jeff Tedford, is seen as an offensive guru - they play the west coast offense/short passing game for the most part. Both seem to play over their heads in big games (USC, OSU) and then play down to the level of lesser...
I saw the Lions game too, and certainly Suggs was impressive, but lets keep some perspective here. #1, it was the preseason and #2, it was the Lions. Suggs got something like 10 yards a pop - no way he gets that in the regular season. I still can't believe we cut KJ in favor of keeping WG...
grad - not sure about the new south stands, but I sat in the old south stands that low, and was right on top of the action on that side of the field. You lose perspective when the action is going away from you, but coming towards you they're great seats..
Since the instructions call for four votes, I say Carter, Jenkins, Boston, Galloway in that order. Would have voted for Warfield if he wasn't in the athlete poll. I have a tape of the 87 Cotton Bowl and Carter's performance in that game was outstanding. I would venture to say he was double...
VA Tech and the points for me please. The bitter pill with this one is that if the Hokies do pull the upset, we'll just have to hear about how great the new ACC is...
ND,
I don't like the anonymous dings either, but I think you should just let it go. My guess is that the dinger just wanted to get a rise out of you, and apparently he/she did.
20 til 2 - we had our first spat of rain about an hour ago and its fairly dark now. The forecasts are saying the eye will pass over Fort Myers, which is about two hours south of here. Right now I'm tentatively optimistic for no major damage here..
thanks BB - ten til noon, and its still sunny here. I just want to see some rain already - the anticipation is killing me. At least I didn't have to work today, I have a couple fellow buckeyes over here that had to evacuate their house (they live right on the bay.) We're having a hurricane...
