It's that time of year again. I will be running the college pick 'em contest again this year. For those that remember last year, we had a large turnout and Nutty was the winner (I placed in the top five and am looking to knock off the champ
)
The rules are the same as last year. I will post the odds on Monday (or more specifically early in the week), and the last day to post your choices is Thursday of each week (Friday no new picks will be taken... too much movement in the odds on Friday and Sat. morning).
YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR PICKS ONCE THEY ARE MADE... SORRY... IF YOU CHANGE YOUR PICKS, THEY ARE INVALID...
You don't need to participate every week, however when you participate you must pick all teams, and void spots are counted as a "bad pick" and count against you). You do have to participate in at least 3/4 of the games, and you must participate in the bowl pick 'em at the end of the season (last year it was over 20 games :) the bowl games will count as part of the 3/4... that way those that start after a couple of weeks, will still beable to get their 3/4 limit reached). As it was last year, if there are a bunch of good games there might be ten games to pick.... if it is a bad week, then there might only be five games for that week.
The first game (and only game of the weekend) of the season will be played this Sat... so we will start the game NOW...
The first game is the BCA Classic, it will be played at Fedex Field in Landover, MD (it is a grass surface).
USC vrs. VaTech... USC -17.5 points (for those of you that don't understand this, if you pick USC... USC must win by 18 points. If you pick VaTech, VaTech needs to win or lose by 17 points or less).
This one isn't a problem... however during the season there will be several "OSU" or "UT" etc. teams... so PLEASE SPELL THE TEAM, DON'T USE INITIALS...
