Week 2 and one of the biggest games of the season - Tottenham at Man City. City is clearly still the class of the league even with a relatively quite offseason, and Tottenham is missing Son who tormented them last season in the CL series win.
I think that City will win at home, but Tottenham...
For as bad as the missed finish was, and its fair to argue it cost us the game, I actually think Altidore was the focal point of the first 35 min when we were in control. His hold up play was all we could do to effectively get the ball forward, he was fighting hard to hold his position and win...
Whoever that rube is, he can GTFO with that crap. We are a Big Ten school and proud of it. We don't need to him to insult the quality of our institution or our integrity with "SEC school in a different conference" quips.
SPURRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They didn't deserve it but they did it. Similar to Liverpool (at least to start the second half) with significant injuries to starters and seemingly entirely out of it after getting massively outplayed by a super fun Ajax side in the...
If they hadn't lit their 2nd rounder on fire, I think it's a solid B+. I don't disagree with the need for a TE, but you could have easily traded back to get Sample or probably just picked him up in the 3rd honestly. Would have loved to see them not move back at 42 and take Irv Smith there...
Spurs take 3 at the last second to virtually lock-up a Top 4 finish and a CL birth next year... which would have been a catastrophe if they didn't given cost of the new stadium.
Although I'd prefer they get the birth through winning this year.

Matthew Slater's going to make $20M in his NFL career essentially covering punts + kickoffs. Stay healthy and that seems like the floor for Terry, even if he brings nothing in the receiving game.
Wonder if we take a look at Matt Jones, the grad transfer center from WVU? We've got Josh Myers teed up there but Jones gives immediate, solid starting experience on the OL and may allow us to have the best 5 play. Can't imagine he'd be interesting in coming unless he felt really confident...
For whatever little it's worth, and in one specific instance - yes, absolutely in my case. I was a 33 ACT kid from Ohio who was going to a good school where college football was king. So if The Ohio State University had been more like Minnesota in terms of football, there's a pretty decent...
Meh I'm fine with trying to win the game if you're Japan and you have a corner in the 93rd minute... but someone has to take a hard foul and stop that break. I'd much rather take a straight red and play ET with 10 men than allow an offensive squad like Belgium to have a 5 on 3 break.
Think if I'm England I'm pretty happy to lose that game, Colombia a tougher first draw than Japan but much easier to get to final on that side of the bracket and Colombia still looks pretty flawed.
BRA/MEX, FRA/ARG, URU/POR, ENG/COL all look super good in the first round. Then CRO/ESP...
More surprisingly, Barca went into the second leg vs. Roma up 4-1 and ended up losing the game 3-0 to not advance on away goals tiebreaker.
At this point, looking likely that the champions of Britain, Spain, and Italy will all lose in the quarters, unless Juve can overcome 3-0 against RM.
