Great job,and super work
The 2 point conversion failed in 1968 but worked in 1961. Many times I see the story being told wrong about it happeningit happening in 1968. They did go for it but didnt make it.
LJB has it right
I too lived through the 1968-1975 era. Ohio State was awesome then. But yes the Buckeye should have had several more National Championships. They say one of the reasons Woody stayed maybe too long was his desire to win another National Championship.
I have said before to some Penn State fans...
I had posted these a while back. I have researched the helmet history and uniform history since the evolution of both interest me very much.
As for rosters one of the best books for them is called The Ohio State Football Scrapbook. It was published after the 1976 season but has many older...

The picture was from one of my Ohio State tapes. I think that was from The Birth of Ohio Stadium. It had a small part of actual film from the Indiana game.
I was looking for #45 but didnt see it. #43 was shown clearly in 2 of the pictures I took of the tape. I just paused the tape to take some...
I had 2 threads about Ohio State helmet timeline and history and uniform history for anybody interested with many pictures
Buckeye helmet history or timeline
And here is some of the Dispatch page with some of my information
Evolution Of Ohio State uniform
I love the history of the Buckeyes uniforms and helmets. I have studied both and think I know pretty much about the evolution.
In my opinion both the Dispatch page and the team print page have some errors.
The Chic Harley era stripes appear to be brown which is correct on the team print...
the helmet was light gray when Hop played.
The Buckeyes did have a white helmet before that.
I just got a new computer todayso I have to find old bookmarks and try and save old pictures.
I had saved the Dispatch Uniform history page too
