    As far as I know the 1955 jersey had different sleeve stripes than the other years. At least a picture I have of Hop vs Illinois shows 3 white sleeves and not the traditional gray ones that I really wish they still used.

    Yes it is Ted Provost. In 1968 I think he had the most Buckeyes on his helmet and his nickname became Tree because of it.

    the helmet was light gray when Hop played. The Buckeyes did have a white helmet before that. I just got a new computer todayso I have to find old bookmarks and try and save old pictures. I had saved the Dispatch Uniform history page too
