My grandparents on my father's side both graduated from Ohio State. His father was a doctor and his mother a school teacher. My father was never normal. When he and his siblings were young his parents asked them what they wanted to be when they grew up. The others said things like doctor, lawyer, dentist and such. My father said he wanted to work at a gas station. When they asked him why he said it was because you get to see a lot of neat cars. We left Ohio when we were quite young, my mother left and he packed us up into an old camper that he'd bought and we basically lived like nomads out west for about 5 years. His parents both died and we pretty much became estranged from the rest of the family. The reason that I love the Buckeyes is that they remind me of the younger days when we were still in town. They remind me of being with my grandparents who were both huge fans, family gatherings and all of the other good memories of my childhood.
Idaho is only mad because all of our pizza boxes had "He's back!" slogans on them for years with Erickson on the front after he left...we didn't see it coming lol.
Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if Davonte's dad makes him transfer from ND if he doesn't start as a true frosh. Probably finish his career at San Jose State or something. I mean his dad only took interest in the kid once he figured out he was talented and could take advantage of him and his future. Sad.
Side note regarding the Neal situation, no matter how unfortunate the situation is, one cannot help but do this, because of just how ridiculous this situation is getting. :
The Neal situation is really unfortunate...we could have used him badly, but it is probably best to keep those shennanigans away from Columbus. Thanks for the heads up. Side note-Now that Erickson is gone and RichRod is at UA, I can root for your guys now :) I go to Idaho, whom Erickson left after 1 year.
