I expected far worse from your old band. :p

It actually was pretty good, considering that I don't really listen to that kind of stuff. Our bands should've played together. Haha

It's amazing what some people think is acceptable behavior on a job site. It's worse in the industry I work in, machining/manufacturing, because I get the "omg a girl is touching a tool, lets watch the monkey" syndrome whenever I do anything. Ego, ego, ego too. Eh, I hold my own and remember that I get paid pretty darn well.
Yikes. The owner of the company I was recently laid off from called me an idiot one day on the job site. I had brought him the wrench he asked for, even though I told him it was the wrong size for the job he was trying to do. I took the one he asked for to him, he tried it...I said..."you want me to get the right one?"...he said "If you knew it was the wrong one, why'd you bring it to me? Fuckin' idiot"...I stopped dead in my tracks, turned around, and said "What was that?"...he then tried to play it off and act like he was joking. I went to the truck, got the right size and threw it at him. If he hadn't been the dude that signed my check...I'd have hurt the fuck. Also, he's about five foot tall, a buck fifteen.
Dude at work was furious at someone else and I somehow got caught in it(mostly by just being in the same room and therefore a handy target.) His anger turned at me and at one point he told me "I can say anything to you I want, you can fuck your mother!" Any other company he would have been fired on the spot, but this little podunk company I work for doesn't like training new people.
 Yeah, no kidding. When the company I worked for got the contract to rip up and replace a big chunk of sidewalk in front of Hamilton Hall, over by the tOSU medical campus, I made my boss promise me that Woody never walked on that part. If he had, I wouldn't have torn it out.
GVMA?

Exactly, and that's what I want to show people. Woody was just as good a man as he was a football coach. His passion runs through the veins of every true Buckeye fan. He truly embodies the program in intensity, passion, work ethic, and morality.

God I just wish I could've met him once. And gone to the University.
Well, imo, it's all important. I mean..it's his passion that set him apart. One of my favorite quotes ever...and not even because it's from Woody...but it's...

"I've had smarter people around me all my life, but I haven't run into one yet that can outwork me. And if they can't outwork you, then smarts aren't going to do them much good. That's just the way it is. And if you believe that and live by it, you'd be surprised at how much fun you can have.”

There's also the story about him going to Vietnam to visit troops. Where he stopped in to talk to the Ohio boys in the hospital. He promised one guy he'd visit his family back home and deliver a letter and let them know their son was ok. It's the good and the bad that made up Woody. The bad was well known, because it happened in public...but he still didn't go around telling everyone the good he had done. That, imo, is what made him a great man.
Thanks for the leads, I'm going to research quite a bit for this. Want to make an impression on people that have no clue about Woody. I plan on focusing more on his great deeds like all the Heisman Winners, Big Ten wins, National Championships, and community work; not so much on the punching players in the face and all.
 Hell yeah. Just for a little something extra...check out the four youtube videos I posted in Woody's thread. Good stuff.
I think so too. I'll ask the Prof if I can wear my dirty ass Woody hat. Love that thing.

You can't always pay back, but you can always pay forward.
It's a commemorative speech for my Communication 2129, my Public Speaking course.

Basically I'm paying tribute to whomever I talk about for this class. Handful of college kids.
Don't underestimate the power of my ability to ruin a team.

My favorites: Browns, Bills, Indians, SF Giants, Cavs, Blue Jackets, Sabres

You do the math.
I'm giving a speech, can't decide on talking about Woody or Jesse Owens, your thoughts?

Leaning towards Woody though
Well...not only is he an Ohioan...he is responsible for one of my favorite quotes ever.

"Grant stood by me when I was crazy, and I stood by him when he was drunk, and now we stand by each other."

Crimony...I just typed an essay, and when I posted it, it cut off everything after the above. :shake:
