Perry-Wright made it obvious why he’s so heavily recruited with his performance on Sunday. Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M and USC are all making him feel like a priority right now. The coaches at USC have made a strong impression so far and he seems to really like the new staff at Alabama.
Perry-Wright likes the defensive line at Texas A&M and is eager to see how they perform this year. The coaches at Texas think he can be just as good as their defensive linemen that will go in the NFL Draft this week.
Perry-Wright’s former teammate
Eddrick Houston
is trying to recruit him to Ohio State but his current teammate
Brayden Jacobs
is already committed to Clemson. The Tigers and defensive line coach Nick Easonhave been doing a good job building a relationship with him. Perry-Wright doesn’t have any visits planned but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him take a couple more visits before the season starts.

Retinal Detachment Surgery

Finally had the cataract removed from the right eye (first detachment). I had the doc correct for distance, so now I can see perfectly and won't have to pay to have sunglasses changed to prescription lenses. I thought I'd freak a little bit knowing that I'd be half awake while this was going on, but it was smooth.

I had to push it back a couple of months after the left eye detached in February. That was a scary week. Left eye was blind because of the gas bubble, and the right eye was maybe 15% because of the blurriness and cloudiness of the cataract. I was ready to hire a 24 hour aid for a week (not cheap), but after the first day, I found that I could navigate the apartment, feed myself and take the dog for short walks. Since I got in so quick this time (detachment was Friday afternoon and surgery was Monday morning), damage was minimal and was given the lighter bubble that was half gone by the end of the week with clear vision over the top of what was left. Scheduled to get this cataract out in November. After which, this should all be over.

2023-2024 College Basketball General Discussion

Clark’s contract is worth about $338,000 over four years, and she will make just over $76,500 in her first season with the Fever.

Dayumm.. her NIL shoulda been $338K a year.. and every NCAA women's basketball pgm should contribute...
18.7 million viewers... what Clark brought to NCAAW was amazing

Sure hope she graduates.. would assume her promo contracts are worth a gazillion more than this deal
She's not going to be poor, that's for sure.

Naismith Hall of Fame - Basketball 2008 class

3rd time now and the only person in there 3 times I believe. Player, Coach and GM?

He's the logo of the NBA:

Its logo was designed in 1969 by Alan Siegel, the founder of the branding consultancy firm Siegel+Gale. The recognizable silhouette is modeled after Jerry West, a legendary Los Angeles Lakers player and Hall-of-Famer.

tOSU Transfer Portal Recruiting Discussion

Well what makes the SEC capable of having rules, but not the NCAA? Can't somebody just sue the SEC for whatever they sued the NCAA for and strip them of power as well?
I think the SEC programs agreed to the rules, and voted on the Commissioner to enforce them. At least thats what I’m led to believe. Those can feel free to correct me if I’m incorrect

2026 CA QB Brady Palmer (Verbal Offer)

Longs is still there? That's awesome, I thought all of High turned into corporate America except for Buckeye Donuts (if that ever goes I might find a new team...kidding a little bit). Campus talk aside, he seems like a real possibility and good player.
The original Long’s is now a Target. Which is sort of nice to have one on campus and now the one on Olentangy is not always a zoo. Fun fact, the Target on Olentangy used to be the highest grossing Target in the entire company, as a result of the one on High this no longer is true. They opened a Barnes and Noble in the gateway district and they have the Long’s sign either outside or inside of that location. So it’s still corporate America.

Also intrigued by the 2026 QB. We have a lot of offers out there it seems so nice to get a lot of these kids in campus. I imagine we will see some more movement after kids visit for games this season.

Who is the GREATEST baseball player ever?

I voted "other" because I did a deep dive a while back on old ball parks and comparing dimensions through the years.
then compared some ballplayers in their home parks vs other parks of their era.

Babe Ruth in some of today's park sizes would have been impossible to calculate without spray charts.
Ted Williams paying in Tiger Stadium of that era instead of Fenway would have been over 600 HR (would have been up around 775 had he not lost time due to Military).

Joe DiMaggio would have over 500 HR if he played in Sportsman's Park of his era instead of Yankee Stadium of that time.

Pete Rose should not even be listed on the poll.
