Penalties Question

So you're basically saying the latter happened, in my question? Because that set of circumstances happened, and the Big Ten refs gave Purdue a first down, where they otherwise would've been forced to attempt a field goal.

And this is why I'm really concerned about UFM and his mindset.

This was probably the only time Saturday I was really pissed off - they let that shit go without even a challenge or a complaint? Even as little as last year UFM would have lost his shit on the sideline about that call and the lack of explanation surrounding it.

Everyone seemed to just accept it when it was clearly incorrect. It's mind-boggling to me.

BP Vacation Thread: What To Do Where You're Going

My go to is always VRBO for any extended lodging needs. We've used them for probably close to a dozen trips of a week plus and have had great success every time.

For more specific recommendations:

I'd check out the lodging at Arc of the Appalachia -- it's high on my list of places to check out although we haven't made it there yet. http://arcofappalachia.org/lodging-at-highlands-nature-sanctuary/

If you're looking for Amish country rather than SE OH, my folks have always enjoyed Honey Run. https://www.innathoneyrun.com/

All time criminal team

Followed 8-month pregnant girlfriend home from a date, blocked his car in front of her and had his guys shoot into her vehicle.

She stayed alive long enough to call cops and have son saved, but he was born with cerebral palsy and requires a caregiver. All time shitbag.
And a free one now. He was going to apply for custody of the kid too

Game Thread Minnesota @ Ohio State - 10/13/18, 12:00PM (FS1)

This worked perfectly for me last week. Got anything for games today? I’m just looking for a site that I can go to, click a game and watch. No sign ins or hoops. I bookmarked that page last week but now it doesn’t seem like it has anything.

I usually check out reddit college football streaming site https://www.reddit.com/r/CFBStreams/. It hasn't really let me down yet. A few streams are choppy but overall decent quality.

Anyone Using High Quality Headphones ?

Ordered. Will post a review in a week or two when they arrive.

https://gradolabs.com/headphones/wireless/item/74-gw100

Ordered the GW100s Thursday, Oct 11 direct from Grado (link); arrived Monday, Oct 15. 2 business days from order to delivery.

Build quality and sound is all signature Grado design. Really not much to say there. If you've ever put a pair of Grados on your ears you already know exactly what you're buying and how they feel. Useable indoor BT range on these GW100s is about 20' - 25' for me before signal loss. Have not taken them outdoors so cannot comment on that. I can leave my office and freshen my coffee in the kitchenette without losing audio.

Comparing the GW100s to other corded Grados, I will say these feel lighter than even the all-plastic SR80s just by virtue of cutting the over-enginerded 10' heavy gauge cord. The headband is the higher quality leatherette stitched over padded foam like on the more expensive 325s, it is not the cheap stamped vinyl as seen on the entry level SR80s. The exterior of the speaker cups are a matte black finish with medium grey lettering silkscreened directly on the plastic, so they look a bit more modern than Grado's older gloss black with molded, 3d raised lettering and silver paint.

Battery life is fantastic. In fact, I haven't even charged them once yet. Received these at lunch Monday, promptly powered up and paired to ncmpcpp running on my MBP, so... 4 hours Mon, 8 hours Tues, 4 hours Weds, 6 hours yesterday, about 2 hours so far today... that's about a full 24 hours at a medium volume without having to recharge, and still going...

As far as spillage from the open back design, these cut the ambient noise leakage by about half. They're both quieter than all previous models I've used and don't suffer from soundstage distortion when the open backs of the ear cups are obstructed, such as resting back on a pillow or having a hand over the open back vents.

There is no reason to own any previous model Grado at the sub-$300 price point anymore, IMHO. All of them have had their nuances and warts for decades, but loyal owners looked past those flaws as necessary sacrifices for sound quality and comfort. None of those problems exist in the GW100s.

LB Trey Johnson (Official Thread)

Wilbert Johnson is a U.S. Army veteran who has been working for the U.S. Postal Service for 22 years. He delivers the mail in Miller’s neighborhood, and he couldn’t help but notice the stacks of envelopes with college logos being sent to that brick house.

Coincidentally, Johnson is the father of Trey Johnson, a former four-star linebacker from Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett — who signed with Meyer and Ohio State in the 2013 recruiting class.

Though Trey’s career didn’t pan out — he eventually had to give up football because of injuries — Wilbert still has a love and respect for Meyer and Ohio State. He concedes that when he’d deliver those stacks of letters to the Miller house, he always put the Ohio State letters on top. He wanted those to be seen first.

“Ohio State took care of Trey,” Johnson said, “even after football was no longer an option.”

One day when Johnson was on his route, he saw Kristina in front of her house, so he struck up a conversation about his son and his football experience. The conversations turned into a friendship, one that began before Meyer’s leave of absence. Kristina and Johnson would speak frankly about Ohio State, and Johnson had the perspective of a parent who sent a son to Columbus but didn’t have a heartwarming story for the way his football career turned out.

Johnson also had his son’s view on how seriously Meyer takes domestic violence.

“When I asked my son about all the (Meyer news), he said that’s one thing coach Meyer did not tolerate — guys putting their hands on young ladies,” Johnson said. “He didn’t and doesn’t condone that at all. I told my son that doesn’t sound like him, and my son agreed. He also said, ‘coach Meyer has so much on his plate all the time between taking care of all the guys and making sure none of the players get in trouble, then here goes one of the people on his staff has a problem. That’s got to be overwhelming. There’s only so much one man can do and know because it’s a whole lot to be responsible for.’

“I thought that made sense, and none of the stuff they were saying about coach Meyer sounded like the man I knew.”

The man Wilbert Johnson said he knew was a powerful coach who was strong and stern but also deeply caring. After Trey Johnson’s career ended, Ohio State continued to give him access to all the resources he always had, including academic support and tutoring, exposure to people of influence in business and the potential for internships.

Wilbert Johnson is real about the football element — “When it comes down to playing, you better play well,” he said — but also said Meyer was a key figure in Trey Johnson’s professional development. Trey Johnson has an Ohio State degree, lives in Columbus and is in management at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

“That insight is valuable,” Kristina said......
