'19 OH PG Jeremiah Francis (North Carolina, transfer to New Mexico)

I do not know why this thread resides under Ohio State basketball. This kid never played for The Ohio State University and never really showed all a lot of interest in coming here. This thread probably should be moved to the 2011 and Beyond recruiting forum. Happy to note that he is having such a wonderful college basketball career.

Ed "LL" Warinner (Run Game Coordinator FAU)

If half the things Zach Smith has thrown out there are true, it is understandable why. A guy who took the Peter principle to the utter limit that is also becoming more and more of a ineffective dinosaur in recruiting to boot.
Zach Smith did go hard after him on his last podcast... not sure how exactly much to believe, but most of it makes sense. We lost a good amount of talented Midwest OL to ND. And not all of them could be under the excuse of "catholic school kids"

FL OL Julian Armella (Verbal Offer)

Was watching Bah and you can definitely see the potential but man I REALLY like Armella. OSU knew he was a stud before he entered his freshman yr. Hoping Bah and Teshbola don't prevent this kid from wearing the Scarlet and Grey
What would Bah and Tsahboula have to do with him? There are 2 other G and T spots on the OL. I'm sure even with those 2, they're looking at adding 3 more OL, Armella would have room

A couple of his late shots hit the front of the rim.... I think he got beat up by Young & Key - as the round mound of rebound says - He was TURRED.....
Garza gets away with a lot down there...felt like he was trying to rough our guys up...glad we threw it right back at him!

2021 ttun recruiting

They are at #9 on Rivals: #2 Ohio State, 21 recruits, 3 five star players, 4.00 average rating, 2988 total points vs #9 scUM, 23 recruits, 0 five star players, 3.57 average rating, 2447 total points.

Other B1G teams:
# 14 Wisky
# 19 Corn
# 20 Turtle
# 24 Iowa
# 29 Ped State
# 36 Rutgers
# 37 Sparty
# 38 Gophers
# 54 Nerds
# 62 Indiana
# 72 Illinois
# 75 Purdue

Just sayin': I would have thought that Indiana would have done a little better than # 62 since they were coming off a very successful 2020 season. Hell, the Juggalos at #35 did better than 1/2 of the B1G.
IU has almost never recruited well, mainly because there's not a lot of elite talent. And the elite talent they do have usually goes to ND or leaves the state. Not a surprise. IU sees success with under the radar kids like Wisconsin because they almost always lose the head to head recruiting battles to the big boys.
And the Juggalos have a great recruiting HC. Fickell obviously learned a lot from Tress and Urban about recruiting, and I've always said that getting success at UC isn't all that hard if they ever got a coach that focused on local Cincinnati(as well as the talent around Dayton and a little into Columbus) talent and then branched out to surrounding states. Kelly did that, Jones followed that and Fickell has done it as well. Dayton down to Cincinnati probably has as much talent as the whole state of Indiana(which most of the talent comes from a few schools)

Sparty at #13 tOSU, Sun 1/31 at 1 ET on CBS

Speaking of Archie, has he retired/has health problems - I haven't seen him in the spotlight.
Thanks in advance
I was talking about Archie Miller because there were quite a few people who were in love with him when Matta left but the boys in Bloomington are not that happy with him. My response was in reply to Jake's post where he stated FIRE HOLTMANN! somewhere in the game thread.

Super Bowl Commercials

Wayne's World is back and exactly the same, except everyone is older and it's a Super Bowl ad

People don’t really like to talk about this, but advertisements are such a big part of the Super Bowl that some people will actually watch just to see some very pricey commercials. A few Big Game mainstays are doing things a little differently this year, but at least one reliable Super Bowl ad shtick—the fake reboot of some beloved pop culture thing, but it’s actually a commercial—is apparently still in use. This year, the reboot that’s actually a commercial is coming in the form of a Wayne’s World revival, complete with Mike Myers and Dana Carvey wearing the old costumes and making the old jokes. However, instead of poking fun at product placement like they did in the movie, they’re just telling you to watch the Super Bowl because they’re going to be in an ad for an unnamed food-delivery service.

That skit is still dumb as hell. The commercials have been boring for years now. I think the companies are afraid of getting bad press for offending the social media mobs.
